Description: Basically the PERIVOLI RESTAURANT is a great place to eat. The food is great, the service is great and the environment is great. The place is full every night if we went for a meal there or not. The high point for me was the roast lamb, which you could die for and for about 20€ including ½L of wine it was our first choice.

On our walking holiday in Parga we tried several tavernas but this was definitely our favourite. It was close to our apartment and the friendly staff always gave us a warm welcome. The food was excellent and the menu is extensive. Because we arrived on the Sunday of their Easter weekend some items were not available at first but the staff were very helpful in suggesting possible alternative dishes. The food and drinks were very good value. The setting is delightful, in a quiet part of town, surrounded by orange and lemon trees, with views of the surrounding hills. It was never too busy and there was always plenty of space for our large party.

As you walk down the lane to the Perivoli and get first glimpse you are lifted by the situation and layout of what is a typical greek tavern.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and the menu quite extensive. We enjoyed a couple of hours here with excellent food and wine before walking into the centre of Parga.
I would imagine there are a number of people staying at the central area of Parga who would not consider this restaurant as it would be a 15 to 20 minute walk for them, but you will be well rewarded.

the perivili is on the way down into the harbour set on the edge of a lemon and orange groove, and on the hillside covered in olive trees.so if we dont want to go too far we stroll to it.the staff are friendly and always very helpful if you are not sure what anything on the menu is.it has loads of room and has a terraced seating area so you are never too crowded even though it does get very busy.the food is good with huge portions so if you are not hungry i recomend sharing.the food is traditional greek and very good.the stuffed peppers and tomatoes are superb, but again you get mountains, enough for 2 people.lovely place and a nice walk from the harbour through the olives on lovely warm evenings.also a bit cheaper than the harbour front.

We have eaten here many times and looking at some reviews I can not believe they are talking about the same place. So , you may have had to wait a while to be served......so what ? this is Greece and where were you going in such a rush. You are on holiday, you ve got all the time in the world!!!!. Well we will be back there this summer and we just can not wait. And I for one wouldn't dream of ordering pizza in Greece....though I suppose if you ve children with you they might not like the delicious Greek food.
