“Acrothea again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012

Just got back after another 21 nights stay at the Acrothea ( third time ). Well, what can I say other than it just gets better each time, Dimitris, Alexandra and staff make us so welcome plus we now see familiar faces from previous holidays in Parga. As usual we eat many times at the family restaurant ( Sakis) up on Valtos when we get to meet other members of the family, where there is a wonderful atmosphere ( typically Greek ).
Once again many thanks to the Tsovili family for making our holiday in Parga a menmorable one, see you all again in May.

We booked the deluxe room with the sea view for an entire week it cost us $675.00 and was very nice it was just what we needed. Alexandra and Dimitris were very helpful when it came helping us find romantic places away from the crowds. Having breakfast mid-morning was wonderful, we hate having to get up early just to eat. Swimming at the beach was as if swimming in bathwater it was so warm. The Acrothea Hotel was the best choice we could have made for our romantic, quiet vacation for two.

We stayed at the Acrothea in September for two weeks - room 304. The hotel is in an excellent position a few minutes from the sea front restaurants. Despite the close proximity to the sea front the hotel is in a very quite location. The view from our balcony was superb taking in the small church on an island to the left and the Venetian castle ruins to the right. We were made to feel welcome from the start. Nothing was too much trouble for Dimitris and Alexandra. We enjoyed our chats and appreciated all of the information we were given. Our room had a very large comfortable bed and the clean towels and sheets were arranged decoratively every day. The room safe was actually fixed in position so it could not be removed - unlike some other hotels where it can be picked up and taken away. Small touches like the bathroom toiletries being replaced every day are really appreciated.
Many thanks to Dimitris and all of the staff for making our holiday so relaxing.

Room Tip: Best views are from the higher floor rooms

Our first visit to Parga ( First week Sept. 2012 ) and SO glad we chose to stay at the Acrothea.
The location is wonderful, virtually right on the seafront.

This wonderful, small hotel has all the advantages of fantastic views and access to restaurants, shops and lovely walks yet somehow manages to remain quiet and peaceful above it all.
There is a small beach a couple of hundred metres away but the long, sandy 'Valtos Beach' can be reached via a water-taxi from the jetty virtually underneath the hotel.

We couldn't fault the room we had, with its wonderful view over the harbour and the castle, and it contained everything you could wish for on a holiday and to a high standard.

A wide range of food was provided 'buffet style' for breakfast ..... our favourites being the thick yoghurt with honey and the watermelon. There was also a range of other foods; meats, cheeses, breads, eggs, fresh fruit etc. should you want anything more substantial ......... and all could be eaten from a table on one of the small terraces overlooking the bay. Wonderful!

Of course, any hotel is only as good as the people that run it and we have to say a very big 'thank you' to Dimitris and his assistant Alexandra who made the place seem even more special.
Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and there was always time for a chat.

If you would like somewhere special to eat in the evening, then look no further than the 'SAKIS RESTAURANT' near the castle. It is owned and run by the same family who runs the hotel and has the same very high standard of service and atmosphere. The food is 'Traditional Greek' and you will not be disappointed.

If you were to ask us if we would stay here again the answer would be a resounding YES!

Again Acrothea Hotel proved to be the perfect choice for a week in Parga. The same friendly family, the same perfect sea view, the same perfect room - and an even better Wi-Fi! Also, the Saki's restaurant proved to give the same very good service with excellent food. Have already planned for a third visit next year.

If you visit Parga make sure you stay in this hotel. Dimitris and his staff do everything , in a very relaxed way to make sure you have the very best out of your holiday. Fantastic views from the top floor. Perfect location, within a couple of minutes walk of everything - beaches, restaurants, boat trips, anything you could possibly need. It even has free parking if you hire your own car ( which is at a premium in Parga ).Make sure you also visit their family restaurant which was one of the first ever restaurants to open in Parga and is still going strong. If you like authentic home cooking, this is the place for you.Just ask Dimitri for instructions to find it - it's close to the castle. We stayed for 6 nights and were nothing like ready to leave. I would never consider staying anywhere else in Parga. Make sure you pay the extra for the sea view and ask for a room at the top - it's really worth the climb !

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor.

We ordered a room with limited sea view, and were very pleased with the room, the location and the staff! Mr. Dimitri in special is very service-minded, and always very helpful. Parga is a fantastic place for a couple. In Parga there are people in all ages, and quiet and relaxed accommodations. The air-condition was in order, and the fact that the breakfast is served until 10.30 a.m. is very convenient. The last night we were in Parga we got sick, and thanks to the staff who helped us, we managed to come home safely. Thank you! We would especially recommend the "Gyros" served at the corner-restaurant Zorbas (close to the town-beach). Fantastic!

Room Tip: Select a room with limited or full sea view. It´s very beautiful!
