“top guy does it for us”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

We have just returned from a scorching week at Villa Andreas (having spent our 2011 holiday there and a fortnight this year in June) Tassos (the owner) is top man , whilst Bettina is away( yes we have missed her and really feel for her at this time), he keeps a cool head and has been in charge of it all .Everything runs smoothly Kristina is doing a great job at the bar pool she is a lovely friendly girl and has a smile on her face every day no matter what. Maids Zanna and Stella work mircles in our apartment keeping everything spotless. All the family work so hard to maintain standards and are the friendliest people I know. Jacki (rep) first choice have a real gem here she works hard and we feel very reassured that if we need her she's there. Her Hello meeting on the first day is a joy she is so funny we have been to it every time even though its probably the same patter but it puts us in the holiday mood she is a mind of information where to eat places to visit what to buy!. Parga is a beautiful place the greek people are lovely the tavernas close by are wonderful Villa Andreas is THE BEST.
Thank you Tassos, family, and friends for making our holiday special. See you soon

Arrived home on Sunday fro a 2 week stay at Villa Andreas. It's difficult to know what to add to our review that hasn't already been said. The place is amazing, great apartments, clean and modern. As said in a previous review, there is water in the fridge when you arrive, washing up liquid, scourer & cloth provided. The cleaners work very hard to keep everything tip top, they even clean the cars for Synthesis Travel, cars are kept opposite Villa Andreas, so very convenient for hire, (great cars, well looked after). Didn't get to meet Bettina as she had to return to Germany, but she should be proud of her staff for keeping everything running smoothly. Kristina worked so hard in the snack bar by the pool and always had a smile on her face. The pool and pool area always spotless. Always plenty of sunbeds free. A 20 minute walk takes you to the beach and into town. Pebble beach, 2 sunbeds and an umbrella were 8 euros. So many restaurants to choose from, we liked the Pizza Restaurant by the Coop Supermarket. Tried Villa Rosa, which was ok, but the food not very hot. Prevolia near Villa Andreas was good, but our favourite restaurant was Dokas on the main road (turn right out of Villa Andreas & past BP Station, until you reach Kordas Supermarket) where you then see Dokas Restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic, my favourite being the grilled King Prawns. Following our discovery of Dokas we went there for all out meals apart form a couple. Prices of food here excellent and the service was excellent as well, very friendly family run restaurant. Kordas Supermarket has a very good selection of products, and the best lemons we could find (for drinks). They also deliver if you want them to. For convenience, Gregs Supermarket next to Villa Andreas is good. The Coop has a good selection of products but closes earlier than the others, which are open to midnight. The town is buzzing of a night & has a really good atmosphere. The trip to Albania is interesting, but you are on the coach for a while. We hired a car for 2 days, which is worth doing, then you can drive yourself to the Acheron Springs which are well worth a visit, Necromanteon (2 euros entry) and other places. We also (well when I say we, my husband drove) to Ioannina, which was further than we thought and took 2 hours, but worth going to for the lake and to see another part of Greece. Good roads and no one on them, nothing like the M25!. Onto Jackie the Thompson Rep, she has been to Parga for the past few years, so is very knowledgeable about the area, definitely worth going to the welcome meeting. Jackie told us about many things, one of them being Jonny's Bar in town. When you get to the anchor, bear right, right again, then left & left again, its a great place to people watch and enjoy a drink in the evening. All in all a great holiday, we never return to the same place twice & have been to many islands in Greece, but we may consider returning to Parga & Villa Andreas in time..

Room Tip: All the rooms are pool facing, so any room is ok.

Unlikely to have anything further to add! I have stayed at Villa Andreas 3 times now and have had an absolutely perfect time very single visit.
I wanted to write this review as our last visit involved our youngest getting a chest infection and I have to say that Bettina and Kirsty (at Synthesis travel) could not have been more helpful, phoning the local hospital, allowing us a late checkout as our baby was still poorly and generally just taking a genuine interest. It is true when people have said that you honestly could not want for more in a holiday stay.
Bettina recognised us from our previous visits and made us feel as welcome as ever. Every person (even first timers !!!) are greeted like old friends.

Room service / cleaners are amazing by the way, the apartment always managed to look spotless, even with a baby in tow. The pool ALWAYS has sun beds available, even though we go in August.
I would not stay anywhere else in Parga. Ever. !!!

My wife and I have just returned from 2 weeks at Villa Andreas in Parga. Before we went we read the very impressive holiday reviews and we are pleased to report that the very positive comments are not overstated –they are all true!
The location is fantastic, on a quiet semi-rural lane, in a valley of Alpine proportions (but no snow!). It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach and 20 minutes to the harbour in the resort centre. The spectacular walk, through the olive groves to Lychnos Beach, starts almost on the door step (It took us about 55 minutes). There are a number of very nice tavernas along the lane, that have more character than those along “the Parga strip”. There was a supermarket, a few minutes away, this met our very simple self catering needs adequately, because apart from a very simple and healthy breakfast of fruit and yogurt, we ate out lunch-time and evenings.
The accommodation was of a high quality, the beds were very comfortable and everything inside and outside was very , very clean. We were very impressed that both the air conditioning and safety deposit box were free, these are summer holiday essentials – why don`t more apartments and villas follow suit? The swimming pool , although small , was perfect for having a dip in, after a walk back from the beach and before getting ready for an evening out at a local taverna. Christina, who worked at the small pool bar, served the drinks with style and was a delight to chat to.
Finally, it is not possible to review Villa Andreas without mentioning Betina, because she is the obvious driving force behind the high standards at Villa Andreas. From reviews I had read before arriving at Villa Andreas, I imagined Betina to be an 80+ year old Greek matriarch, but she is more like a Greek goddess , despite being German! Betina patiently explained the air conditioning controls to me on our arrival, and took an interest in what we had been doing and where we had been throughout the holiday. My wife and I feel that we arrived as guests, but left as friends. We hope to renew that friendship next year!

Room Tip: There are three floors, if steps are a problem go for the ground floor. All rooms appeared to get th...

My wife and I have just returned from a two week holiday at the Villa Andreas, our first time in Parga. It is difficult to find anything new to say that has not already been covered by other reviewers and I am going to concentrate on the Villa Andreas itself, rather than Parga in general.

The accommodation is first class. The rooms are spacious and the windows and doors are double-glazed and both open and tilt. The windows also have a fine mesh to keep out the nasty insects. The bathroom is a good size and has a shower cubicle. The shower itself is powerful and there is a constant supply of hot water, so there is no need to rush back to get the hot water before it has all gone. A hair dryer and liquid soap are supplied and the towels are changed regularly.

The kitchen is well equipped and a dish cloth, scouring sponge and tea towel are supplied and are also changed regularly. Washing-up liquid is also provided. A bottle of water was also waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived – a nice touch. In addition, there are lots of electrical sockets - unusual for Greece.

Bettina and all the staff are wonderful and try their hardest to ensure that you have a happy, trouble-free holiday. Nothing is too much trouble and, if anything needs doing in the room e.g. replacing a light bulb, this is attended to straight away. The whole complex is maintained to a very high standard and kept spotlessly clean. Free WiFi is also available. Kristina, who runs the pool bar, is lovely and does an excellent job. She always has a smile for you and provides food to an extremely high standard from an extensive menu of ‘snacks’ including salads, sandwiches and toasties with a variety of fillings, chips and the best cheeseburger I have ever tasted! Although these are described as ‘snacks’ and are very reasonably priced, many are quite substantial.

My wife and I definitely intend to return to Parga and, because of the standard of the accommodation and the friendliness and caring nature of the staff, we would only wish to stay at the Villa Andreas!!

Finally, if you are worried that your holiday might be affected by the current economic climate in Greece, worry no more. The currency in use is still the Euro and you are able to use your credit and debit cards and get money from cash machines. Although items in the Mini-Markets are quite expensive and have been for a few years now, prices in the tavernas are very much as I have experienced in the past in Greece. If you arrived in Greece unaware of the economic problems, you would never know there were any. Also, most of the Greek people I spoke to consider that, in the unlikely event of Greece going back to the Drachma, this would take time and prices would be shown in both currencies for at least 12 months.

We stayed at the Villa Andreas on 10th June for one week. We enjoyed it so much, that on our return, we booked for next year but for 2 weeks. Betina, Thassos and Chrisitna made us so welcome. The village of Parga has plenty to offer and actually felt like an Island, not mainland. All the locals were extremely friendly, always waving when you passed them. We can't wait for next year to return to our little bit of paradise.
