I'd been disapointed in March 13 when I found Vesuvio closed and being refurbished. When I went back in September, the good reports I'd heard were certainly correct! The inside has been refurbished to a good standard with new bar area and toilets and cooking areas. The new owners kept the name, and it was good to see in September that Γεώργιος was still on the staff. I'd always enjoyed Vesuvio and the menu is basically the same, but it has certainly improved not just on the decorating side, but the quality of coooking had too, and it wasn't bad before! I just hope they will be open in March as they previous owners had.!

the prices here are great. The foods are similar to others in the same street but the quality is great. The hosts are wonderful and you have free WiFi. would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to the city areas.

Great experience
We have been for a week in Rhodes and found this place. We have order the T-bone steak and the Greek Plate. It was delicious!
We came back after 2 days to eat again. Still, was wonderful.

We have been in Rhodes for 11 days and purposefully tried to eat at as many different restaurants as possible. However we returned here 3 times as the quality of the food was always very good and the service was by far the best we experienced during our stay. If I had to to recommend 1 restaurant in Rhodes town this would be it. Looking forwards to going back.

Shame this excellent eatery has now gone, ate there several times and was excellent throughout, sorry they were forced to close by rent increases
