“Kalithea Springs reborn”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

This was rebuilt over the last two years. Previously it had been allowed to fall into disrepair, but now, it has been given a new lease of life after it has been virtually rebuilt. Now it has become a popular venue for weddings and other events, and the water in the small coveis beautiful for a quick dip.

Reviewed October 27, 2012

Have you been in Kalithea? if not it is worth of going, the atmosphere is really very relaxing. The are several beaches, behind the hill but also a very nice one when you enter the gate.Hasalso a cafe just next to the sunbeds & the rest leave it on you, fantastic view!! Of course we couldnt have been there if it was not suggested from Colossos rent a car staff which gave us a lot nice (tips) areas to visit. Thank you guys & the car was just perfect :) see you next year

“Great place to chill out.”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

Kalithea Springs is an inlet in the coast protected by the headland and acts as a sun trap, a great place to sun-bathe, chill out get a meal and/or a drink. The Springs in the title relate to an ancient marble spring now in the process of being covered by a pavilion. In addition to the swimming, sun-bathing and bar, there is a light and airy rotunda building which is often used for wedding ceremonies.

The beach has a gentle rake and is very child friendly with many visitors and locals bringing small children to paddle and splash around.

This is a commercial operation so you pay 3.00 euros each to enter and if you want to use the sun-beds they are 7.00 a pair. We found the food in the bar excellent.

We visited several times whilst on holiday, you can spend the whole day there and gave a great time.

Everyone must see this beautifull place. Rocks fall into the sea,
lots of trees and water falls.
A fine restaurant with delicious food and salats, a view you can dream of, you can visit the springs and swimm in the blue water.

“Beautiful views and fabulous food!”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

We recently went to Kalithea, with our young baby, as part of our 10 days trip to Rhodes. We hadn't been there in 5 years and discovered that it has been completely revamped! The fountains are working and the building on the hill has been beautifully renovated with artwork/exhibitions inside (as well as the toilets) - it would be a beautiful place for a wedding reception! You have to pay an entrance fee but it's well worth the money.

The view from the beach (as the name Kailthea would suggest!) is stunning, with a placid sea, and it is also a very popular snorkelling and diving haven. There are huge and beautifully kept terraces where you can have drinks and food served at your table with good background music. We had a couple of fredo cappuccinos (divine!) and our lunch was one of the nicest we had during our stay! The Greek salad is really excellent! I would highly recommend going there for the day or even for a night out as it seems to be very lively in the evenings!
