“Heavy noise for nothing...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

We have heard a lot for this fish tavern but most of the times the behavior of the staff is more important than the food served...
Food was average, prices extremely high for the quality served... But the female servant behavior was unbelievable... Her attitude was hostile with no reason... Something is going wrong with her...avoid to go...

“Most expensive and unworthy in Leros.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

We asked menu and they didnt deliver a menu. We have ordered grilled octopus half of them was not eatable. Mussels were salty and fried potatoes was oily. We oredered 3 beers. Totally we paid 45 euros. You can not find any place in Leros with this price and taste. The most expensive and unworthy place with white bulbs...

“Extremely good , extremely slow”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2014 via mobile

The fish here is the best I have tasted in Greece. Period. The overall experience is unfortunately poor due to extremely slow service as the staff is undermanned. It took 45 min just to get a waiter to the table and another 15 to get drinks. Just not good enough...

“Our favourite restaurant in Leros”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2014

Ouzeri o Sotos is a hidden gem right next to the sea in Dodecanese, I love this place and will warmly recommend it to anyone who wants to try different traditional greek dishes. The fish taverna is run by the family of Sotos, and they use all local ingredients. They grow their own herbs and vegetables, they catch the fish themselves and the neighbour delivers the best tomatoes I have ever tasted. Truly ecological and environmental friendly, and everything is so tasty, fresh and delicious.

I love the shrimp pasta and their calamaris!

“dining at Sotos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

We visited Sotos fish tavern twice. A taxi driver told us about this place while we were getting to the hotel and passed nearby after arriving at the island. We also heard about it from a local talking about it and read about it in tripadvisor. All suggested that we should order shellfish. Both times we ordered octopus salad, fish souvlaki (rofos, a kind of grouper), a portion of fish in slices (vlachosfyrida, a kind of grouper) and shellfish (pinna the first time and scallops the second time). Octopus salad was very delicious, fish was fresh, especially the rofos souvlaki was sth that I have not found anywhere else and was very tasty, and shellfish was fresh (we saw that they were preserving it in nets inside the sea by the harbour) and great to have wine with. The tables were placed on a dock by the sea and by getting at the tavern early in the evening we were able to enjoy the sunset (the village of Drymonas is facing West inside the Gourna Bay). Both times we had a very nice dinner, though the first time we had to wait several minutes to order, but still this was a family tavern in a small island and they were not used to serving many people in one night. Also I noticed, that fish was cooked on a charcoal (and not gas) barbeque, which takes several minutes. Overall, Sotos is one of the best fish taverns that I have visited in Greece.
