Fresh and good price. Relaxed atmosphere at a nice beach location. Not a tourist trap but just real friendly and honest

“Hey fellow sailors - don't miss this one !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

We're boatie people who've been around Leros for a long time. There are some lovely tavernas in the busier village of Pandeli, but yachts often seem to miss the quieter Vromolithos beach, which is where Paradisos restaurant is. It sits immediately overlooking the beach, views that would be worth squillions in any more "developed" areas! The ambiance is wonderful - beautiful decor, a lounge-around bar as well the main dining area.

We think the reason many yachts miss this place is that there's no easily-accessed jetty, which is a real shame. It's not as easy to get to as Pandeli - but if you point your dinghy immediately at the taverna (drive slowly, it gets shallow quick!) - you'll find a couple of sandbag pathways which make it easy to pull your dinghy along and secure it on the beach.

The food and the family are just wonderful - if you get lucky, you might even get treated to some a live bouzouki music, Stamatis is the island's music teacher in the off-season and his sons inherited his musical talents too.

Give it a go, yachtie folks - sometimes it's worth that bit more effort to get to the more off-the-track places... ! :)

“Eating out on Leros”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

Paradisos Taverna is a family restaurant overlooking Vromolithos Bay with steps running down to a lovely sand and pebble beach. The restaurant is large enough to accommodateparties of 150 people or more. The very friendly family consists of the owner Stamatis and his wife Anna,His father Manolis, and his two sons Manolis and Mikalis. Stamatis is the best Bazouki player that I have ever heard and after serving the customers, together with his son Manolis who plays the electronic keyboaurd and Guitar, plays live music most night and guests are encouraged to dance on the dance floor. Manolis, the father, cooks on the Bar-B-Q and Grill, and Anna prepares and cooks all the other food. The Menu is traditional Greek food and they have their own specialities, all of which are beautifully cooked and of a very reasonable price.
Mikalis runs an "All- Day" Bar within the restaurant and can be reached from the Beach as well. Paradisos is a restaurant not to be missed. You will not be disapointed.

“good food at beautiful location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

Paradisos is situated near the beach with a view on all yachts in the bay. Since the owner changed, the food is much better than before. This year they added a lounge bar: perfect for a cocktail in the evening with a very beautiful view. The kitchen serves typical greek food of good quality.
