Having a background in medicine I found the whole experience of visiting this site of the first 'hospital' totally amazing. we were lucky to have an excellent guide who explained 'floor by floor' the progression for the patient and healer. The views from the top were stunning.
Lots of climbing and steps to see it all - some wobbly terrain as well.

Very interesting point of the history of Kos. Visit the museum on the site first to get background information concerning this wonderful ancient monument.
