“Cradle of medicine.”

A must see sight. Realy close to Kos (4km). Easy to find, entrance fee is reasonable (between 5-10€/p). Nice to see greek ancient style first hand. Cradle of medicine.

“Amazing site”

Excellent archaeological site, the steps can be a bit steep so best to avoid if you have difficulty walking.

“were medicine began”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

brilliant place to visit if you're in kos its quite cheap to get in and only about 3 miles from kos town you can get there by a small road train ! that does return journeys or by taxi or you could allways cycle like we did but it is uphill somewhat !!! theres a nice little bar just before you go in where you can get a beer or a fresh orange (recommended !) once inside theres lots of history temples etc it was the birthplace of medicine !!

“A peace of history”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

It`s a must to visit the Asklepion when you are in Kos Island. A extraordinary part of history lays in this area. You can feel the vibe once you enter. Great view of the seaside also. I recommend it for one hour of relaxation.

“Worth a visit”

Impressive ruin amid a lovely forest. Stunning views. Well worth the trip. The Turkish village-Platanos-on the way there, is worth stopping at for a juice.
