This is really a nice excursion close to Ixia. The ride up to the site is nice in itself but the mixture of historic eras is wonderful to see. Another highlight was the monk and the priest, taking their time both explaining the site and having coffee with a visitor

If you want to see rodos island from a high point do not miss this place. You can view ialyssos, part of rodos city, and from the cross pastida village, maritsa airport and the new airport from above. Do not forget to climb on the cross.

Very amazing attraction, its hight cross on the mount, great landscape, and lots of peacocks :) brings this place its unique character. The view from top of the cross was just great.

We booked our wedding at the same time as our holiday and other than arranging for paprework to be legalised and deciding on any wedding extras we didn't need to lift a finger with regards to organising the ceremony part. We met our wedding co-ordinator once in Greece- she came to our hotel. We picked the bride and grooms flowers and cake which are included in wedding package and choose a coach for our guests to be transported and a car for myself. everything is quite resonably priced for example the photographer cost about £375 for 100 photos in an album and 1 in a photo frame and the coach and car were equally good value.
Then came the day................... All I can say is it was FAB. All our guests got ready and were transported to the monestary along with the groom- the only hitch was the co-ordinator was slightly late. the flowers had arrived earlier in the day. when we arrived at the monestary I had photos taken with my bridesmaids and mum, then we started to make our way down the walkway under a canopy of trees. As we set off walking traditional greek muscians started playing which our lovley guests had generously paid for and it really made the occasion. We were married at the bottom of huge steps where a huge cross stood. the ceremony itself was very short and was given in Greek and then English. Afterwards we walked back up the path way and me new hubby and myself went into the monestary itself for photos of the two of us.
We then made our way for our reception at a lovely taverna we had picked for ourselves. the taverna was lovely and the people really welcoming and the staff had decorated the area where we sat with balloons.
We were married THursday and on the Friday we made the trip to the town hall to sign the marriage license and were given the proofs for our pictures when we returned back to the hotel. We faxed the selection back to the wedding co-ordinator and receivec our pictures on Tuesday
ALL IN ALL AN AMAZING, MOSTLY STRESS FREE WEDDING AND ONE THAT I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND
