“A Reliable Local Choice”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2014 via mobile

With a healthy mix of locals and tourists, Ageri dishes up solid carefully prepared food. Inside, on a coolish Spring night, the straight forward dishes and modest prices remind you that this island is somewhat off the grid. That is both its strength and weakness.

The service is courteous but haphazard. Nothing personal-that is just the way it is. The only thing that is somewhat fast around here are the motorcycles. Tune in to the local vibe. There will be plenty of time to increase the rpms wherever you are going or are from. This is Greece at the end of the line.

“very nice mezze on the windmills”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

This must be the best place to eat on the windmills' square. Its focused mostly on mezzes rather than personal portions and it;s doing a very good job. The people working there are very gentle and the prices really good the location. Suggested especially after a long walk to the castle.

“Best place to eat in Chora of Astypalaia”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

We stayed for 8 nights in Astypalaia and this was the best restaurant in Chora. Everything is very good and delicious!!! All the dishes are freshly made and there is a variety of traditional and common food as well. The prices are so low that you might think something is going wrong here...
The place is just perfect in front of the windmills and you can see the old castle as well!!!
The only problem is the sloooowww service, that sometimes becomes irritating. Overall the best eating solution in Chora, unless you want to eat somewhere else the same common things like gyros, souvlaki, mousaka.
