There's only so much that even the most vivid description can do to translate the tastiness of this meal and the richness of my overall dining experience at Restaurant Artemon, but I attempt to do so here:

Stamatis is an artist in the kitchen; the authenticity, quality, and multi-sensory beauty of his food is exceptional. Each dish is crafted with the freshest of ingredients and using Sifnian family recipes that he has perfected. Your chef and host will sit down to recite the daily specials to you on your arrival in the restuarant's grapevine-draped back garden, and this warrm hospitality will continue throughout your meal: you will feel a true guest here. The food is presented beautifully; everything from the simplicity of traditional fava stew and boiled greens to the exquite flavors of the sea such as the dorado and the grilled octopus is a feast for the eyes, the nose, and of course, for the tastebuds. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly. Certainly my most "Greek" and most delicious meal in Sifnos.

We ate at this restaurant in the month of September during the food festival in the town of Artemonas that has been held there for the 4 Th. year in a row now and is attended by a huge number of locals and tourists to sample the different delicacies of many of the Cycladic islands participating with their food stalls and local products.
The surrounding restaurants were packed but we managed to find a table at Artemon and proceeded to order after the waitor finally noticed us.
When our somewhat confused and amateurish waiter finally came over to take our order, most of the dishes on the menu were either finished or not available so we ordered what was in a sense, left over.Scanty Greek salads, dry, tasteless chick-pea balls, greasy fries and what seemed to be the remaining part of their Mastello,a local dish made from goat or lamb and baked in a clay pot that consisted mostly of bones and fat(at least the portions we got).
We tried to show our dissatisfaction to the waiter but he seemed to be freaking out with all his other restless guests.
This place might be much better on quieter occasions but that is no excuse for their amateurish handling of their menu and customers in a rush situation.

It's the most elegant of the Sifnos villages with houses by the mid-European expatriates of the 18th and 19th c. Walk around all the tiny streets and then, go to dinner to CHRYSSO. A terrific little family restaurant.

The restaurant, with the atmosphere of a classica greek taverna, is on the back of hotel Artemon, in a lovely garden close to the church. The owner is a very helpuful guy who proposes you only what he has fresh: we went there 2 days in a row and the menu was partially different. The tipical Sifnos dishes (caparosalada, mastelo and chickpeas soup) were great but also the other typical greek food was excellent. Last but not least, the price is absolutely reasonable and, if you want, you can pay with credit card, something rare in the taverns in the islands.

If you wanna have a real chance to taste the wonderful Sifnos specialties in an island with long tradition in this section go and eat at Artemon, Stamatis the owner is very friendly and helpful with a great sense of humor too!
Take a sit in the backyard and ask Stamatis to guide you,try Revithada and some of his meat specialties as Mastelo( lamb) or goat. You can taste also the Choriatiki salad with both feta or Mizithra cheese(prefer the second version).
Prices are surprisingly fair in an overpriced island in every service. A very good choice and value for money restaurant!
