We visited this place after passing on the off chance. The lady asked if we'd heard of the beer before and when we said no was really rude and pretty much ignored us.

We went here as the last stop on a wine tour for those of us who have an appreciation for beer. We tried almost all of their brews and decided we liked Yellow Donkey the best. We got a quick tour of their small operation and were impressed with the efficiency and quality of their products. We tried the hops, which were actually tasty as opposed to the usual bitterness you get at other breweries. The staff was friendly and eager to spend time with us. They were out of the size of the t-shirt I wanted and the owner prevented me from buying it in the wrong size so that I wouldn't have it just sitting in my drawer, good call! Look forward to hopefully seeing this brew in the NY area soon!

We really enjoyed all three of the beers they offer. We stopped at the brewery one day when we had rented an ATV to check out the island. The brewery is located on the road from Fira to Kamari. There aren't any organized tours to take, but they will pour you a small sample of all three of the beers at the bar for free. We bought a t-shirt for 15 euros (and then later in Oia noticed a shop was selling the same on for 29 euros!!).

The beers are unfiltered and un-pasteurized-- so you have to keep them cold at all times, which was a major bummer because we had no way to store them for the day to keep them cold. Overall, I'd recommend going to the brewery if you want to buy some beer and you're planning on going right back to your hotel to put them in the fridge-- otherwise not sure the trip is worth it to try a small taste of them.

This is a rare find - nice real ales in the middle of a very greek island that specialises in its wine!! The brewery site was still developing its toursity side when I called in and they'd just built a wooden bar - they let me sample all of their beers for free (all of them are worth a quaff) and look around too. Their T Shirts are the best (as in 'unique') on the island and you can buy coasters, glasses and key rings too.
A word of warning - the beers are strong so best not to drive if you visit: get the bus there and/or walk from Kamari beach.
NB if you can't visit the place look out for their beers elsewhere on the island, though demand is outstripping supply so good luck finding draught - it's mainly bottled.

This place is in Kamari, which is a beach town on the east/southeast coast of the island. It's definitely worth the visit if you're nearby. They currently make 3 types of beers, all are good and definitely NOT the typical pilsner that all the other Greek beers are.

The brewery is open from 12-5 only.

We went in and had samples of each and bought a bottle of the Crazy Donkey IPA. Had a nice chat with the other couple visiting and the host/owner.

If you like microbrews, stop by here!
