Had a lovely time in Santorini. Visited Ora which was lovely. We did a tour but I would next time just go for the cable car and take a look around this area if Santorini unless your staying. The tour took us to the vineyard which did have wonderful views but nothing else added to this. You would have had similar views from the town especially as the cafés and bars overlooked the ocean. Well worth going on the cable car for views, we witnessed the donkeys who stopped on their route to eat any shrubbery so people were struggling to steer them up the hill so if you went on the donkey you may miss your ship. So think about this. Same shops all over the island. Cable car €6 return.

If your in Santorini then this is a must do this boat trip, its Europe's newest piece of land. Half the boat went swimming in the 28 degree sea but the other half, like me chickened out and stayed on the boat. We did not land on the island but I'm sure I did not miss much. It was 12 Euros for the boat trip, which I did not think was bad.

Climbing the low rise slopes of Nea Kameini is pretty much ordinary. Until you realize that you are trekking the slopes of a legend, both from a scientific and cultural/mythological point of view. Viewing the surrounding caldera from one of the craters is one unforgettable experience. A must!

Sounds exciting to visit the volcano; in acuality, a tremendous let-down. Tough terrain to walk; not very interesting once you see the scenary close up and nothing to help you understand the evolution of the site and the caldera while there. If on a short stay - skip it.
