Fab!!.Had read about this cruise on trip adviser before going to santorini and we really wanted to try it especially when we read about the saxophone player playing while the sun set. Booked the trip as soon as we arrived for 55 euros each. Set off at 2.30 and the guide, Christina, gave us a very informative and funny history of the area while walking up the volcano. Great swim in the hot springs then off to the island of Thalissia for another swim and a very tasty buffet tea with a nice glass of local wine. Then the hi-light, sails were hoisted, and then the fantastic sunset with the saxaphone. It was our anniversary and my wife was almost overcome with the magic and romance of the moment. Over all a fantastic trip with a great guide and crew, amazing views and great value. Well worth it!

Volcan excursion is nice as you sail for 20 minutes inside Caldera and can take nice pictures the Caldera of main island. You need a hat, athletic shoes, water and swimwear for having a swim after in hotsprings. There is a walk to climb up on black hardstone footpath until the crater and i recomend this tour if you like to see a safe volcanic crater (upto now).

Great tour given by Thomson Holiday Rep Kim.. However you can organise through other operators.. cost is 2euro to enter the volcano grounds which is not written on any thomson literature. It's defo a must do along with the caldera cruise and the dip in the thermal springs. Take the hike up the volcano early doors as you really don't wanna be up there mid day! Make sure you wear trainers or closed toe shoes at least it's dirt track stone all the way up type thing.

My husband and I did this and was really elated. Great experience. Christina was a fabulous tour guide and the crew were friendly. We left the Old Port at 2:30 in the afternoon, first stop a tour up to the volcano. After this they took us to the hot springs for a swim. The water is crystal clear. They stopped for us to enjoy a lovely Greek Buffet Dinner - served with white wine from Santorini. It was delicious. They took us to the coast at Oia just ready for a beautiful sunset. One if the crew played the sax for around half an hour. Really special, as we neared the Old Port the Greek music and dancing commenced.
We would recommend this company - they don't over book so it is not crowded. They really want people to enjoy the experience.

We travelled by bus from Kamari and found our way to the winding path down to the old harbour very easily. I would recommend wearing good footwear, not only because you are walking up and down a volcano ( so many people though flip flops were a good idea!!) but because the walk down to the harbour is the main motorway for 200 donkeys. Two men were working very hard to clear up the donkey offerings but there is only so much you can do in 30+ degree heat. Even wearing trainers I almost slipped on the donkey juice a number of times. The old harbour has a number of gift shops and boat companies offering the cruise to the volcano and elsewhere. We paid 48 euros for the four of us and set off on the 15 minute boat trip to the foot of the volcano. Stunning scenery all round, a 40 minute climb in high temperatures and countless photo opportunities. We used the cable car back up the the top of the hill as we couldn't bring ourselves to sit on the back of the donkeys, all of which look very healthy but are experts at looking sad. A fantastic half day out and would recommend.
