Our experience was overall excellent. Firstly it's in a great location for the beach and bars, and has great restaurants within 100 yards, and the rest within 10 mins walk. Our room was large, clean and modernist looking, with a decent bathroom and shower( cubicle and not curtain!). Pool was a refreshing change after almost a month of swimming in the sea! Only negative point is to say the breakfast was a little disappointing with lack of choice, although we did not expect much it could do with more choices. Reception staff, particularly Marianne, are really friendly and helpful.

Hotel Iliovasielma is set in a perfect location being close to beach & easy reach of restaurants & town. It's very clean & spacious, it has a wonderful swimming pool & the staff are very polite & helpful. We will be staying there again.

On the plus side this hotel is near to the town beach, which is clean and has some nice beach bars. On the minus as all my reviews of this trip have said, there are two side to Greek hotels and bars, those that live in the past and think that just opening up is enough and those that have have risen to the challenge and are bright and modern with good service. This hotel is one of the former. To be fair the rooms look they might have had an update in the 90's and therefore the shower is good, but the rest is tired. We booked a double room and stated on the site that we required a double bed. to my mind, if you do not have one, then you should not take the booking. When we saw our room with two tiny single beds we challenged them only to be told that although we had asked for this it was not up to them to provide. They did say that they would show us a double room but this did not happen. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Overlooking the pool we were woken early by screeches after being woken in the eary hours by people coming in from the clubs. We asked to hire a car and were told this price was special to the hotel, ummm we got a decent car a lot cheaper. This place is in dire need of an update
