This restaurant already has rave reviews, and I endorse them strongly. My husband and I stumbled upon La Casa one afternoon in early October and decided to have a light lunch. It was a delicious meal, consisting of tabouleh, hummus, yoghourt and cucumber dip, and a complex, interesting salad with avocado, cheese, tomatoes and walnuts. It was so fresh and delicious that we returned the following night. We sat outside in the warm air, watching the passing crowd and enjoying a glass of wine while we ate lamb shank, a hot mushroom vegetarian dish and another of those fab fresh salads. We hadn't planned on eating dessert, but when a complimentary dish of baked quince arrived ... what could we do? It was the most divine quince dessert I've ever tasted - I usually bake quinces slowly in the oven until they turn pink and think I'm 'very clever', but this one was simply out of my league. La Casa is a wonderful place to visit, in a lovely location, with excellent seasonal food.
