« Coup de cœur » for Amorgos, which is a wild and preserved from mass tourism island. Agios Pavlos Studios are very well located, half way from Chora and Aegiali, with the Agios Pavlos beach down the track (plastic sandals needed for the shingly beach). The 3 main “towns” are not far by bus (bus stop 5 min from the studios). The best way is however to rent a car in the port, so as to be free to move around and find tracks and creeks. With a teenager, it’s a good thing to be able to go to Katapola or to Aegiali in the evening for the liveliness. We stayed 4 nights in this pension and regret not to have extended. With perfect peacefulness of the place, we found the rooms very comfortable, spacious, clean, arranged and decorated with nice taste. The terrace is simply superb, with the view on the sea and the opposite island, sunsets and sunrises we never get tired of ! The owner Mihalis, is welcoming, discreet but ready to help for anything you may need. We will return and we recommend very warmly this pension.

great honeymoon. modest, simple, tranquil accommodation. breathtaking views.
for people looking for a romantic, economical paradise. far from the crowds.
Michaelis, the owner is just a good souled, gold hearted person offering help in any aspect and need of the vacation. more than you can expect from a guest house owner, and i write this after i have traveled 5 continents for a decade.
the booking was easy directly through the agios pavlos website.

Room Tip: all the rooms are good we stayed on the top flour when you are on this kind of vacation it doesn't really matter

Mikaelis the owner was very hospitable and went out of his way to pick us up at the ferry
and then took us into the town of Agealis 3 times because we were there in May before
the buses were up and running in June. Aghios Pavlos beach was a small paradise and very special and the accommodation there was wonderful with a view out to the off shore island.

Room Tip: I think it would have been more ideal to be here in early June when the local bus was up and running. In mid May the water was cold and tourist infrastucture was not up and running.

Very good and helpful people.
Full of love for the island.
I am going back to Mr Michael, because it made me feel comfortable and beautiful on my vacation.
Every morning we ate a nice breakfast ...
The afternoon was quiet we could relax ..
And have fun till late evening.

Third time me and my daughter stay at this very friendly place where the only change every year is the cleaning staff. Verry serviceminded Patricia from Poland was last year replaced by Iqbal from Pakistan who was this year replaced by "the top of the hill" - Sol from Equador. Exotic hotel. If we add that Mihalis the owner spent 30 years in Germany, we have a cosmopolitan staff in maby the most quite place in Amorgos :-)!
We stayed 10 days as usual in June since the "off season" is the best. Since the hotel is about 3 km from the beautiful port Aigiali, we rented a car for the whole period. It's not actually nessecary since the bus is very reliable, but we want to have a little freedom. The island Nikouria on the other side of the channel is absolute fantastic. A factory produced coins there 5000 years ago. With a diving mask you can still se shapes of walls and parts of pottery out in the bay! Many different kind of fish too.
We'll be back next June for sure!
