Lovely hotel just as described , very warm welcome from Eirini. Room was lovely we were upgraded to a suite which was a nice surprise. Such comfy beds, best nights sleep for a long time. Courtyard breakfast was very relaxed. The pool was lovely and refreshing after a hard day sunbathing. Very convenient to the town and all the lovely restaurants. Thanks Angela and your staff for a lovely stay.

My wife and myself can not say enough positive things about this wonderful boutique hotel in Rethymnon Crete. The staff work hard to ensure your stay is as relaxed as you would like. The accommodation has character and charm, with the facilities to match. A wonderful plunge pool, is a welcomed escape from the very high temperatures (39 degrees C). Angela, Irene and the attentive room maids work so hard to keep things as relaxed as possible, but very clean and tidy.
The accommodation is within walking distance to some of the most amazing restaurants in the old town, and close to the old harbour. Your never far from the shops, markets and somewhere to relax. A perfect establishment, with all you could ask for from a bed a breakfast boutique hotel. The cold breakfast supplied each morning matches the need, as in such a warm resort, I for one could not face a cooked breakfast. Sitting outside in the hotel courtyard, watching the world go by, is a special moment we will always remember.

Room was small, however still comfortable with plenty of character. There is parking adjacent in a block opposite hotel. Hotel in good location to walk up old town about a 10 minute walk. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Upstairs room has better views, however there are no lifts so you would have to carry bags.

Had a lovely stay - Very picturesque courtyard/pool area. Pool a little small but expected it before arrival. The owners were extremely friendly and informative. About 10 minute walk from the bars and restaurants on the beach front. Would recommend.

We booked this residence as the start of my 50th birthday celebrations and we were not disappointed. In fact, I have to say we were blown away by the whole experience! We stayed in room 210, which was fabulous. Set at the back of the residence, this was a very spacious dual-level apartment, with a big balcony overlooking a quiet, traditional Cretan side street. The position was brilliant as we got the sun all day until around 3.30pm, which was perfect. The inner courtyard is beautiful and the perfect place for a very substantial breakfast in the morning or a quiet 'chill-out' area for an afternoon read. The staff here are amazing and everyone from reception to the cleaners do an outstanding job of making your visit unforgettable. The residence is just a short walk away from the centre of the old town and some very good restaurants (namely Erofili and Alana which are just a 2 minute stroll around the corner) but in particular, the Fortress which is well worth a visit. Finally, I want to give a big shout out to Angela who is an amazing woman who, behind the scenes, runs this residence like clock work and makes your stay very special. From the very first morning we meet, she took time to explain where to go and what to see, to the day we left when she sat with us for a while and then walked down to the sea front with us to catch our transfer home, even though she had officially finished work for the day. Now that's exceptional customer service! We will most certainly return.

This is a brilliant place to stay in Rethymno. We were welcomed with Raki and Loukoumi by Irini who then took us to our beautifully furnished junior suite. We had a small balcony and a view of the Fortezza, there was a kitchen area with hob, kettle coffee maker. The hotel is very peaceful and the sun terraces and pool area are wonderful. The rooms are immaculate and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Angela is a very helpful and informative host and runs the hotel to a very high standard. The buffet breakfast has a selection of meats, breads, pasties and fruits and always a lovely experience.

Room Tip: Junior suite

This is a beautifully renovated Venetian mansion in the heart of the old town. The situation is excellent in this town with many lovely restaurants and bars close by. Our room on the ground floor was quite small and stayed warm even with the air conditioning on, which might be something to do with the electrics going off whenever you take you key card out of the wall socket. Service was excellent and Angela, the manageress, was very helpful. Breakfast was similar each day consisting of a simple Mediterranean style cold buffet but, for us, a bit disappointing. For example, although limited whole fresh fruit was available, the fruit salad offered was tinned fruit cocktail in syrup. Not what I expected in a quality hotel in the Mediterranean. The "roman style" pool looks beautiful but very small. It is just a plunge pool with limited space around it. After 4 days we discovered that there is a small roof terrace in the hotel with a limited number of cushioned sun loungers and umbrellas. Such a shame we were not told about that at the beginning of our stay! Around the corner there is a small square with bars and restaurants down one side. It was being renovated during our stay but we tended to have late afternoon or evening drinks in the bars at each end of the square. Both provided snacky stuff with your drink and the house wine was excellent and cheaper than in town. The chopped fresh fruit in the farthest bar was wonderful!

Room Tip: The hotel website describes its rooms as Junior Suite; Suite or Maisonette. We booked a special offe...
