We learned about the Petite Fleur form a nice French couple in our Hotel. They said we had to visit Petite Fleur for the famous rib-eye. When we saw the menu, we were very suprised to see the variety of food and the low prices. Our First night we ordered for starters the Mojito style salmon and my boyfriend ordered the escargots Bourgondion style. Ofcourse for the maincourse we had the rib-eye! You could really taste the difference between this restaurant and the average Greek restaurants. Everything was fresh and homemade! And it was fun to see how how your meals got prepared in the open kitchen. After dinner we had some cocktails at the bar, where we met the best and funniest bartender of Greece: Manolus!
When we heard they also served lunch, we were determined to try it. Next to their regular menu, they have a nice tapas menu. So we ordered the meatballs, the bruschetta with marinated anschovy, the shrimps piri-piri and again the escargots. The tapas was really nice and because of the high temperatures in Crete we enjoyed our meal inside in the airconditioning.
Because the First night and the lunch was such a succes, we decided to go there on our last night. This time my boyfriend ordered the beef salad and the Moroccian salmon. I had the Petite Fleur salad, with very nice goatcheese. They had a big variety of wines. We ordered the Kanenas, this rose made the perfect ending of our time in Crete.
Thank you William and Eva for the great times. Hope to see you again next year!
