We learned about the Petite Fleur form a nice French couple in our Hotel. They said we had to visit Petite Fleur for the famous rib-eye. When we saw the menu, we were very suprised to see the variety of food and the low prices. Our First night we ordered for starters the Mojito style salmon and my boyfriend ordered the escargots Bourgondion style. Ofcourse for the maincourse we had the rib-eye! You could really taste the difference between this restaurant and the average Greek restaurants. Everything was fresh and homemade! And it was fun to see how how your meals got prepared in the open kitchen. After dinner we had some cocktails at the bar, where we met the best and funniest bartender of Greece: Manolus!

When we heard they also served lunch, we were determined to try it. Next to their regular menu, they have a nice tapas menu. So we ordered the meatballs, the bruschetta with marinated anschovy, the shrimps piri-piri and again the escargots. The tapas was really nice and because of the high temperatures in Crete we enjoyed our meal inside in the airconditioning.

Because the First night and the lunch was such a succes, we decided to go there on our last night. This time my boyfriend ordered the beef salad and the Moroccian salmon. I had the Petite Fleur salad, with very nice goatcheese. They had a big variety of wines. We ordered the Kanenas, this rose made the perfect ending of our time in Crete.

Thank you William and Eva for the great times. Hope to see you again next year!

All four of us agreed that we had an exceptional evening and considering that the restaurant is located on the beach front of Rethymno amongst a hundred of other places and thought it would be another tourist fake, we found truly excellent service and very good food.
Nice wines by the bottle, half bottle or the glass and some Cretan traditional dishes and some international dishes. My Salmon was well cooked maybe a little more than it should and my friend's steak came more close to medium than the rare he asked (we are used to have almost everthing overcooked especially meat). We highly recommend it and we will visit again

Warm atmosphere, elegant and friendly people, excellent food and very reasonable price. It is a must if you visit Rethymno to experience a dinner at Petite Fleur.

Good food, but really really bad service!! The waiters are very grumpy..
The starters were served 10 minutes apart eventhough it were the same dishes. The same thing happened to pretty much every table around us. Main dishes went wrong as well, but the waitors didn't even apologize. Maybe they just had a bad day, since the food was nice and the place looked fine but it wasn't a good dinner for us.

If you visit Rethymnon in Crete don't miss Petit Fleur, a very charming restaurant on the boulevard, where you can sit inside (airco) and outside and enjoy the best of Greeks fine fresh products prepared in a European fusion way. Nice Italian pasta's (do not miss the tomato risotto with a grilled fish filet on top), quality meat (spareribs & ribeye!) that is very well prepared. Beside all that you are wellcomed with a smile by the owners or the charming bartender, and you are free to take a look in the kitchen, wich is fully open. Feels like home (that means; when you are a great cook!)
