Almost only tourist restaurants with a solicitor in the front, but it's part of the charm. Stroll through.

Having seen pictures of the old harbour I was very disappointed with the real thing. You can't see any of its character because of the signs, boards etc outside of the resatuarants. The most pushy waiters all seem to work here. In other parts of the old town they take no with a lot more humour. It made us take detours so as not to experience it more than once. Prices seem higher than the other areas.

we liked the harbour but were very uncomfortable with the way the traders bullied you along the front , one actually tried to frogmarch me to a table , with his arm around my shoulder , sorry but no thanks , we went to Chania and was much more impressed with their harbour

Great cafes along the front at the harbour. We had a magnificent sea bass, while feeding the fish in the harbour

I was there at the end of May and its Ideal for a walk on a balmy evening. Lots of places to eat, many will ask you but are gracious when you refuse, so no hassles. Delightful venue dripping with history and nice people.
