I was in Rethmino and stayed about a half a mile away on the beach - Espera luxury villas. The town itself is filled with shops and restaurants. There is quite a variety and many bars for younger people along the shore. That doesn't start until later but my daughter and niece loved the night scene while I enjoyed the eating and shopping. We also para sailed and rented jet skies nearby. There's lots do and our week went by all to quickly. One of my favorite towns and I will definitely

Walk around Rethymnon old town and you’ll find so many beautiful alleys decorated with summer flowers, century old brick walls and pretty balconies.

There are so many shopping boutiques -local handmade/produced & designer wear by Greek designers.

I especially love this souvlaki stall, which by far, has the best souvlaki!! Their souvlaki has captured the local hearts. According to my friend, the owner has been around since he was in junior school! Best part, inexpensive too.

I really enjoyed every single piece of my memory in Rethymnon Crete. Beautiful mountains, beaches, the blue turquoise sea, nature, trail walks, friendly mountain goats, vast lands of greenery during summer, the smell of olives and most importantly, Mama’s bear garden. It serves one of the best Greek food and produce -eg. fresh herbs, vegetables and meat from the local market!

The old city of Rethymnon is full of small cozy alleys and you can walk around for hours and stop here and there for a glass of wine

We loved exploring the narrow streets and browsing in the many shops. Lots of restaurants and bars. Some unusual shops selling high quality souvenirs and the usual tourist tat shops. We found some lovely hidden boutique hotels. Would be a lovely place for a short break.

A lovely old town many bars, shops and restaurants with very friendly people a great place. The harbour is a very pleasant place to sit and relax at for a meal at the many restaurants, with giant jumbo prawns & lobsters, also the steaks are very good too, a great place to visit

So full of atmosphere, wonderful little lanes full of cafes and shops. his old Venetian town is not to be missed! A beautiful harbour sits at the end of this old town. Fish restaurant prices on the harbour are a reflection of this picturesque area..so watch what you order. The rest of the town you can get excellent food drink clothing and other shopping at reasonable prices. Enjoy!

This town looks nothing until you delve deeper. Go into the old town, no vehicles allowed, there are shops after shops after shops. Walk all the little roads there's leathers shops, souvenir shops, bakerys, cafes. We walked to the harbour were there are lots of great restaurants and bars. You will love this little place it has so much going for it. We throughly enjoyed our day out there.
