We decided to stay at the Astali mainly due to the overwhelming good reviews.
At the risk of repeating previous reviews,It's All True.
This is a lovely 2+* Hotel, with 5* service. You are treated like long lost family members, although our first time at this hotel,we felt really welcome. The family who run the hotel cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble any time of day or night. We met lots of guests who had been coming to the Astali for donkeys years and they were all lovely.
There's no pool, but this is a city centre hotel, close to the massive beach,Venetian Harbour and Old Town,so ideally situated.
A good buffet breakfast is available with plenty of choice, there is a lovely terrace with seating and bar area and there is free air-con and Wi-Fi.The hotel is kept spotlessly clean throughout with towels and linen changed daily.
You just can't go wrong here,we can't wait to go back!

I have just returned to Cyprus from a weeks walking holiday to Crete with the Cyprus Services Rambling Club (33 of us). We chose this Hotel based on the Trip Adviser's recommendation and can say that the previous write ups were spot on. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean as are all other areas of the hotel. Rooms are small,as was the price but plenty of wardrobe space and as stated all have a fridge, T.V. free air-con and WiFi. The family who run the Hotel are very friendly and the bar prices not extortionate; they coped very well with the varied demands of our group.

It is very close to the seafront and within easy walking distance of all the wonderful restaurants and amenities. So definitely, recommended and we will use again.

Room Tip: We were at the front of the Hotel facing the road; however, the double glazing is excellent and we were not disturbed.

Maureen and I returned last Thursday from our fourth visit to the Astali and as always found the hotel clean and everyone friendly and helpful. We had a room at the front which we found hot and noisy this year but were moved into a back room with no trouble or fuss. The breakfast was fresh with a good selection. We have no complaints at all and will be back.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter and cooler.

We have just returned from our third visit to this wonderful hotel. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean as are all other areas of the hotel. This is a family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble and everyone is made to feel so welcome. With fridge, T.V. and free air-con you want for nothing. The beach is at the end of the road and there are numerous excellent tavernas nearby. The Old Town is only a 5 to 10 minute walk away.
The best thing about this hotel is the attention to guests' well being and this is relected in the number of repeat visits. We look forward to experiencing once again the superb Astali hospitality.

What a fantastic hotel! This family run hotel was a delight to stay in, beautifully clean with fresh towels every day and everywhere was spotless. A simple breakfast was included with plenty of fresh coffee, Greek yoghurt, fruit, bread, honey, cheese, ham etc All very fresh and tasty. But the real treat here is the most warm welcome from the family which perpetuates throughout your stay, nothing is too much trouble. Perfectly placed near the lovely beach but quiet in the evenings; perfect.
