I got a single room for two nights. The furniture is old, not so clean, nothing special in the decoration, noise from the street. The position is good but it is not worth it.

Since the last reviews, Kyma Beach has changed. The hotel was renovated, during winter 2007/8 and now the hotel is "new" again.

Kyma Beach hotel is fine and functional for a short stay but nothing special. It's pretty tired inside and in need of a refurb. The bathroom was tiny with not much room for maneouvre, a mouldy shower which often wasn't hot and no proper shower screen. There are no international TV channels (Greek only). The room is fine in that it's quiet (the double glazing blocks out the road) and air conditioned. We had a decent large balcony overlooking the sea and harbour. Breakfast is lacklustre, with orange squash instead of fresh juice and a bit of a dull selection of cereals, cold meats etc. Staff are fine but didn't go out of their way, being unable to help when we asked about local excursions. The location is quite good in that it's close to the old town and also to the beach, and this is the main reason we booked it. It's also fairly (though not very) inexpensive. If I was going again I'd stay in the old town, which has plenty of charming old hotels and still only a short walk to the beach, or otherwise at one of the hotels further down the beach with their own beach loungers (saving the daily 8 euro charge).

I stayed here for three days during the summer of 2003. The hotel was pretty decent...nothing too fancy but nothing much to complain about. We ended up with a corner room that was relatively large and had a nice view of the oceanfront promenade. The room was well air-conditioned and had a decent sized bathroom and a TV with local and international stations. The main advantage of the hotel is the spectacular location, right on the waterfront and on the outskirts of the venetian town, near all the stores, restaurants and attractions and with the start of the long coastline and beach right in front of the hotel.
