An amazing site to visit. So much history and the view from there was spectacular.

Very close to shops and tavernas so easy to reach. Very reasonable entry fee.

Thank Blen

The fort walls extend a distance and there is no shade so best to go earlier or later in the day. Lovely views from inside the fort and several buildings and ruins to see.

If your tan hasn't quite developed as you had hoped, get yourself down to the fortezza ASAP. blistering heat, with great views, but little to look at. The buildings are largely uninteresting, some half renovated (you get the impression they started and ran out of money...) I wouldn't put it at the top of my list of things to do, but worth getting off the beach for a day to have a walk.

This fort covers a large area and the views are fantastic but within the fort itself there is little to see, for the price of the entrance fee I would have expected more

Very large fortress - we spent at least 2 hours looking round - but it is very hot there and with little shade. Parts of the fortress are being restored and you can't currently go into those areas.
A good MORNING's visit (beware it closes at 14:00)
