My friend and I had between us:
1) Saganaki ... Yum (but we had better in santorini)
2) Cretan salad... Also yum
3) Mixed grill... Friend says it was good
4) Lamb wrapped in filo pastry, recommended by the waiter... Also quite tasty
We had one drink each between us plus one baklava (very big and warm!) and a coffee. The whole meal came to 50 euros.
There are waiters at the front of the restaurant enticing you into their restaurant, which seems to be commonplace in Rethymnon. I don't like being hassled into a restaurant, and although the food was great I would be interested to try other restaurants in this nice town.
I say give it a go, there was nothing bad about this place but also nothing to write home about.
