I will begin with the positive - the rooms are spacious (although the beds are harder than titanium) and the pool is large. Unfortunately those are the only positives. I booked this hotel through hotels4u.com, who advertised it as a 4 star; it is a 2 star at best. The drinks included in the all inclusive were meant to consist of beer, raki, ouzo, rum, vodka and brandy. They consistently ran out of vodka, rum and beer and it then took DAYS to replenish these stocks, only for them to run out again within 12 hours.
The meal times are a 'free for all' and if you were at the back of the queue, then you would be left with salad or cold spaghetti bolognese. Unlike one of the previous reviews, I can tell you that the food is not replenished, as they have only limited amounts of the recycled offerings that they pass off as 'freshly cooked', in fact the food is delivered each morning and afternoon in a small car from another hotel, and is only warmed up on site (not very well). The towel they used to clean the kitchen, was left to dry over a fence; the smell alone attracted the flies and you would not believe how filthy it was until you see my photos. My friend and I stocked up on bread and tuna from the local shop and lived on sandwiches for 2 weeks.
The bar closes at 22:45 each night and then the bar staff sit around and drink what is left of the limited alcohol stock. One of the employees is the owners son, who I one day witnessed accidentally drop a glass on the main path leading to the pool. To my utter disbelief, he looked at it and just walked away and left the smashed remains in the middle of the path, where children constantly ran back and forth barefoot. After 10 minutes of waiting for him to return to clear it up, we eventually told a member of bar staff to clear it. This is perhaps a clear reflection that 'the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree', as when the owner finally put in an appearance one day, he failed to address the many complaints of the guests.
I did not book this as a package, so we did not have the option to appeal to a rep for a transfer, which numerous others did and left (BY THE BUS LOAD). I really wish I had read these reviews before booking, as I would have paid extra to change my booking, as it would have been cheaper than having to purchase our own alcohol and food everyday.
