Alana is a restaurant in the Old Town - not a taverna, and hence a bit more expensive than tavernas.
The garden-like setting is charming, big trees stretching their leaves over you. On a Saturday evening it was full - a reservation on weekends could be useful, just in case. We arrived rather early, around 8 pm, and got a table for two. Bigger groups would have been a problem, if you's wanted to be seated in the garden. We actually arrived through the kitchen, as our hotel Barbara Studios was across the alley, in the back!
We had a mixed meze plate to start with - it was enough for the two of us. Very good it was, as the rest of the meal. I'd recommend the restaurant especially for a romantic candle-light dinner or other celebration.
