DANSK: Review south coast hotel

ENGLISH: Review South Coast Hotel

We had a really good experience with this hotel.

The entire staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. It gave a very good feeling. We especially had a good experience with Martin, but, as said, everyone was really nice.

We had ordered breakfast inklusive. It was fine, neither more nor less :)

You have to taste their raki - all four kinds! It was very good.

The room consisted of the necessary, including balcony and hob. It was cleaned every day.

The hotel is very close to a beach. It's stoney/rocky, but it was no problem for us. There were snorkeling and swimming possibilities.

If you want a sandy beach, Makrigialos is a 30-minute walk from the hotel.

The town itself (Kourtsouras) has a couple of nice tavernas, but otherwise not really anything else.

I was on holiday in South Coast in August/September 2015 after long 8 years and it was amazing. The weather was still very sunny and hot all 12 days we have been there. Rooms are nice, big with a lot of space. The staff was very friendly and kind, they also know some slovak/czech words, which was really nice for people who dont speak english, they could still understand what they want. Hotel is very close to the beach, sea was wavy and we had a lot of fun there. We went all inclusive, had a lot of Mythos (hehe) and the food is delicious. Sometimes it was so hard to pick what to eat because we wanted to try everything. After 12 days we all gained 3 kilograms :( :) Totally worth everything, amazing holiday after so many years. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

We had a great time there in an apartment but with all inclusive dining. Food is excellent, always fresh. Service is nice and personal. Beach is very close. They plan to make it sandy for next year.
There was regular cleaning and changing sheets and towels every second day. Free Wi-fi only at the reception.
The only bad thing it is in the middle of nowhere, you have to take the bus to go anywhere or to rent a car. Still, at the reception they arrange for anything - to rent a car of even to rent a bicycle :)

For me and my girlfriend, it was the second time we spent holidays at 'South Coast' (from 28th September till 5th October 2014), and we didn't regret it. As the weather was mild and warm, we did trekking in 3 gorgeous nearby gorges (between 4 and 6 km long): the Orino (or butterfly) gorge, the Pervolakia gorge and the Pefki gorge (combining it with the Vréiko cave featuring beautiful stalagmites and stalactites), between 1 and 11 km away from the hotel. The return to the hotel and the nice warm sea was a fitting reward after a nice but tiring day. The well-known to us hospitality of the family staff and the delicious local cuisine at the hotel has been an unfaltering value for our choice, as it was in 2013. Highlights this year were the grilled blackfish and sargus (freshly fished from Giorgos), fresh biological aloe vera gel (harvested from Manolis' own field and kept in the fridge), fresh vegetables from the hotel's own garden and olive oil, wine, rakí and delicious liquors, also of own production. Also tops: clean rooms and bed sheets (every 2 days), the relaxing evenings by the swimming pool and the easy going holiday rhythm! Apparently the hotel is also a nice place for young couples with kids, if we judge from what we saw. Shops at the village cover most usual needs.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet and spacious with balconies. Some have a particularly nice view to the sea.

We just back from a 8 days stay. We very enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The family and workers there where very helpful and sympathetic.
The garden, hotel and the beach are very beautiful.
The wine, beer and ouzo are from a good quality.
The rooms are basic and the beds are not that comfortable.
Wifi is only free in the hotel lobby.

I am a picky eater, and the breakfast i didnt like, the cheese and meat i didnt like at all.
The lunch I found over all good.
Dinner was okay, I liked that there was always some greek food and nice salads.

For the rest there where some noisy oldtimers (retired people).
and the claiming of sun beds at the pool with towels we found very rude and annoying!!!

We did a day trip to Vai beach but we were not impressed (tourist trap)

We really liked the green beach, its right after Makrigialos! a nice quiet beach plus a nice restaurant!

and we really enjoyed the beauty of the island Chrisi.

Room Tip: ask for sea view!!!!
