Very nice and comfortable and spotlesly clean hotel. With free Wi Fi,Great welcome ,and handy as bus stops almost outside.Ideal for a stopover as close to airport(one downside is aircraft noise)However a great rate at €35 and we decided to eat at the attached taverna and i have to say the food was EXCELLENT bourne out by the many local people who were eating here. They also do there own homemade pizza.I didnt have it but it was being made in front of me and i have to say it was some pizza! If id been here for a 2nd night id have gone for it!

Steyed 4 nights in early June, the hotel is located in very pleasant grounds and has a great pool and surrounding lawns. There is also a beach within around 300 metres. Many rooms have very usable balconies with good views. It is well located for east bound longer distance buses in the direction of Malia and also the no 7 bus into Heraklion. You can also be dropped off close to the hotel if traveling west on the longer distance buses towards Heraklion. The staff, especially Jean make you feel genuinely welcome which was a great start to my holiday. The breakfast is good and filling and included in the room price. There are good food shops across the road, the rooms have fridges. This is a good place to have as a base, it isn't really necessary to go anywhere else, it is also very conveient for the airport and good for your first or last nights in Crete. I would certainly come back.

Prince of Lillies hotel is an ideal hotel for 1 or two night stop over before seeing the sights of Crete. If you are like us and dont want to spend much time in the city of Heraklion then this place is ideally located out of town, near to a beach and bus stops). The staff and owners are very friendly and are more than happy to help you with whatever you require. We were looking for a car to rent for 5 days and in 5 minutes it was all sorted out at a fraction of the cost of internet searches. (120 Euros for 6days and the car is delivered to the door!).
The hotel has a great wee taverna with great food and was ideal for us arriving late from Santorini and the rooms are clean and comfortable with balcony.
Would recommend this hotel to budget travellers looking for a quick cheap and easy stop outside the hustle and bustle of Heraklion before moving on elsewhere.

What can we say that the others had not already covered ? You can not beat this place. If you are looking for 5 Star accommodations - this is not for you. However - if you are experienced traveler who wants to get in with the locals and get an authentic feeling for Crete - this is your place. It is charming. Giannis and his partners will go far out of their way for you and make you feel like you are just another family member. The service here was outstanding and the food was amazing. We also ate at the Prince of Lillies Restaurant each night. How can you beat fantastic local wine at 7 Euro's a liter ? We spent 2 weeks in Greece and honestly - the food here was the best we had on our entire trip. One block from the beach - 30 meters from the bust stop - and they will get you a rental car in 5 minutes delivered to the hotel. The read the rest of the review and they are dead on. We'll be back.

The hotel features very nice grounds, a wonderful taverna serving inexpensive, tasty dinners, a location only a block from the beach, a block to the bus stop with service into Heraklion and beyond (Knossos Palace), close to airport (cab is pricey though) , wonderful owner/manager, large swimming pool and seating area, new housekeeping units,all-in-all it is a great value.! The only downside was the hand held shower, so be careful to remove dry towels and toilet paper from the room before using and the pillows on the bed.
