Prices are high in Heraklion, for that money in another city you can find a better place, but if you're prepared for that, the hotel is fine. It's clean, simple and doesn't differ much from other hotels of the same category in Heraklion. Just two beds, small bathroom and a balcony. Planes that fly above the hotel every 5 minutes make really big noise but that is the price you pay for the closeness to the airport.
The only really annoying fact was that wi-fi was really bad on the second floor.

This Hotel is good, clean and the price average for a city hotel. The staff were helpful if prompted, though it did not feel friendly or welcoming. From Airport/Hotel It costs 10 euros by taxi... if the buses are running (daytime) use them it costs a couple of euros! Arrived at hotel late (it has 24 hour reception) and went straight to bed... Did not get much sleep as the air traffic is numerous and constant through the night; AND VERY LOUD! In the morning I tried to open the metal window shutter and could not - it was locked or stuck. Had I known this the night before, I would have been worrying about the fact I had only one way of escaping the room in an emergency, that being into the hotel corridor: The only other window being tiny and ceiling height, in the bathroom. If I needed to stay overnight again in Heraklion I would check out other hotels first, but would not entirely rule out the Evan Hotel BUT would pack my earplugs, and NOT accept a room with a locked shutter.

Room Tip: I had a first floor room and the air traffic noise was deafening... Evans knows (excuse the pun) wha...

Halfway between the city of Heraklion and the airport, this simple small hotel is properly maintained and has all the amenities in each room.
A few minutes on foot to go and make a choice to find a good restaurant for dinner in the center city , the most important less than 10 minutes to get to the airport (convenient when you arrive by plane or also when you leave and want to let your renting car at the airport in the early moring).
