I stumbled across Paralia by chance in a row of other restaurants on the seafront. Trusty TripAdvisor recommended it and I agree wholeheartedly! The fish here is really top notch, but it's also for the brave. The first time I went I ordered Red Mullets. I expected a single middling size fish but instead got 9 deep-fried small Red Mullets on a bed of salad and fried potatoes. These were delicious but had been cooked whole with a merest skin of batter. Definitely not for the squeamish as you had to dissect and fillet the fish before eating them! The second time I returned I had the Moussaka as I felt I had to try something non-fishy. This too was delicious although they did bring it out before I had finished my starter.
My bill for a 3 course meal, including drinks and all the "on the house" extras (raki, fresh fruit and little light crispy "doughnuts" with honey) came to an astonishingly cheap €16!
