The age of this site is remarkable. Much of the site was "recycled" as stones were removed for dwellings and churches so a reconstruction done nearly a century ago may not be completely accurate but it does suggest what the site may have looked like. Frescos are extraordinary. Be sure to see the artifacts on display in the museum and save your ticket as it covers both experiences.
