The Hope is a highlight of our time in Elounda, it is a traditional, family Taverna which has been in the family since the 1920s, the menu tells you the fascinating history.
It is a meze restaurant, we have tried many of the choices and it is always delicious as is the house wine. The cheese balls and shrimp saganaki are delicious as are the vine leaves and village greens.
The service is friendly and relaxed, the views over Elounda are stunning from all the tables. It is wise to book if you want a front row table in an evening.
