We visited on recommendation and we were glad that we had been told about this little gem. It is a little of the beaten track, a little way up from the harbour, at the top of "cardiac hill". If you are fit to climb a fairly steep hill it is worth it when you get to the top.
It is a traditional Cretan kafenion, with everything cooked fresh and to an excellent standard. Really tasty food, cooked in a very small kitchen with a lovely host. We will definitely be back before returning to the UK.
The views were stunning and as Elounda were celebrating a local saint's day, the added bonus of a fireworks display from the harbour below.
