“Restored fortnight..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

Spent 2 weeks at Tasmania with my partner, came back refreshed and restored. This was our first holiday without the children and we made the right choice. On arrival at 3am, after a 2hr coach journey , we were relieved and quite delighted when we saw our studio appartment, due to the negativity which is unfair from previous reviews. Although our room was basic it was clean and had all the amenities needed (after all we wasn't expecting a 5* luxury) After a couple of hours of anticipated sleep, we woke up to breathtaking and spectacular views, from our balcony. We found Maria,Goerge the owners, there family very warm and welcoming also Sharon the house keeper. The pool/bar area small, intimate but enough, never crowed or to busy.

The walk to Elounda Village around 20 mins (like previously stated) is a nice walk for taking in the scenery i.e. shoreline, mountains and backdrops.

Elounda is a small, rural unspoilt village, which captures alot of tourists due to it's traditionalism. This is why it is deffinetly more suited to the holiday maker who wishes to slow things down, unwind and have a nice meal by the harbour.

Thoughout the 2 weeks we spent here, we met some great people who have been returning to Tasmania and Elounda for years (one couple, 17yrs)....So does this not tell you that there is obviously something special worth returning for? We wlll be.

Marcel & Sharon..

Room Tip: The view from our studio room 8 was perfect looking out into the bay so was either side of us, the f...

We always said we would never go back to a place time and time again, but Tasmania really kicked that belief into touch as this was our fourth visit there. As soon as we wake on the first morning and look at the stunning views, it's like we have come home. It's such a relaxed atmosphere and Anna, Maria, George and their families (and Sharon, the cleaner) are so welcoming, that we can switch into holiday mode and forget our 'other' life as soon as we get there. Our apartment was spacious and cleaned every other day and linen/towels changed frequently throughout our stay. The variety and quality of food on offer at the bar is super and customer service is second-to-none. Both Anna and Maria are bilingual, speaking English (with an Australian accent) and Greek, and have helped us deal with parking tickets, care-hire problems and are a source of much local knowledge. If you make the effort to talk to them and other holidaymakers you will get so much more out of your holiday at Tasmania than a simple 'flop and drop' experience. We have already booked for next year. Very highly recommended!

Room Tip: The apartments at the top of the property have amazing views and are well ventilated, so you may not...

We have just spent another vacation at Tasmania Village which was wonderfully relaxing. As soon as we arrived back the stress of UK life is quickly forgotten and it is easy to get into the swing of an early morning run and swim and relaxation around the pool and on the beach. Maria and George took over from Anna on 1st August so we had a few days with her before she returned to her family in Athens. The family are lovely warm, friendly and inclusive. We were joined by my sister and hers family during our second week who have also found Tasmania their special holiday haven. We met some great Eurpoeans who were interetsing and fun.
Are we going back, well of course and have already booked for 2 weeks next August.

Room Tip: The appartments at the top of the hill have stunning views!

I Have been meaning to write this review for quite a while .
After reading some of the bad reviews I felt I had too.
As we had a Fantastic time at the Tasmania
I went with my patrner and our 5 year old daughter

1. The view from both the pool and out room was fantastic even if we did have a lemon tree blocking it a little . But who can comlain when you have a lemon tree outside your room .

2 The surrondings themselves are beatiful and the nice village of elounda is a little bit of a walk way about 20 mins but it is a very pleasant walk in even our 5 year old enjoyed it taxis are only about 5 euros

3 the apartments were cleaned every other day and were clean and tidy the were basic but what you expect from greece.

4. The food in the apartments was good and anna would cook anything with in reason if you asked.

5 The pool area was clean and well maintained . as were the rest of the surroundings .with a great view

All the above was great but the staff and owner were fantastic and made us feel so welcome Anna made a real fuss of our little girl and us nothing was to much trouble .

This was one of the nice places with lovley people and we really look forward to going back and seeing anna again

Just came back from this lovely place in elounda. i ve been to many places around the world but i ve never been to one like this. Where should i start??? The people were amazing!!very friendly, made us part of the family.the views of the apartments were stunning.we stayed at the front block which like the owners said was the old part, but like i said was really good.the new apartments looked even better with much nicer views!!!very clean and had everything we really needed.they have a small kitchenet and fridge and many pots and pans which made it easy for us to cook.when we were boored we just went up at the pool bar and had nice meals there as well!!!the bbq night is a must, with traditional greek food,a lot of drinks and even more greek dancing.we shall definately come back!!!!!

We went to Tasmania village for the first time in July.

Its in a great location, 20minute walk to the town, and the views from the pool area are absolutely fantastic.

The appartments are basic but very clean and tidy, the pool area was lovely and quiet and you could always get a sunbed. The barfood was great and the service was friendly.

Overall its excellent value for money with a great location, gorgeous views and friendly staff.

having read the reviews on here before booking we were looking forward to a family run feeling and a great bbq night... we were disappointed. On arrival Ann didn't even say hello properly just gave us the key to the room and basically grunted at us, no information about cleaning, safe, air con was offered and when we asked it seemed like a bother. We also wanted to find out where is good for shopping and meals and was told to 'just try a few places'. Personally I wouldn't eat at the car either unless you like really cheap tasteless food and a hostile reception. When we asked about the bbq night we were told she was to tired to sort it out.
Also the beds are single (and are like sleeping on wood) and definitely can't sleep up to 3 ppl, the kitchen is very basic with no microwave, kettle, grill or oven just a hob, fridge and sink which made self catering hard work.
I know there have a lot of repeat customers coming to stay year after year however would i stay there again? No way not even if it was free.
