An overpriced hotel. Great location, wonderful view, very good private beach, good suite with one bedroom and a small living room. The staff was professional and helpful when needed. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good but extremely noisy (kids). If only the price would have been reasonable. We were charged and paid way too much.

Room Tip: To avoid a daily mountain climbing pick a room close to the reception building, with a sea side view.

as soon as we arrived our journey to paradise began ,we were greeted with champagne and made to feel very special .on the way to our suite merena informed us we had been given an upgrade to suite 109 we were amazed the suite had its own pool which was fabulous .our suite was very clean and comfortable maid service was brilliant clean towels twice a day and pool was cleaned every morning.
alexandera in the restaurant was so helpful and nothing was to much trouble for her,the choice of food was excellent for breakfast and dinner.nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff including the buggie boys who took you anywhere .if you are looking for total relaxation then the domes of elounda is the place to stay we are already planning our return to suite 109.

Room Tip: suite 109 is the best!

We recently returned from the Domes after our first visit and have already made plans to return. The resort is set in beautiful surroundings, offering fabulous views of the sea, over to Spinalonga and across to the nearby mountains. The accommodation is clean, we'll appointed and comfortable and wherever you are located, the extremely friendly buggy drivers are always on hand to take you back to your suite, with special thanks to Nikos and Christian, who always greeted us with a smile and kept the kids entertained! The staff throughout the resort we're truly fantastic and could not have been more polite, friendly or helpful and really made our stay pleasurable. Both Georgina and Merena at Guest Relations are fantastic and a real asset to the company, going out of their way to make sure we were happy at all times. We had an excellent holiday, ok it's a little pricey, but its a 5* resort, so you expect that. If you want an exclusive resort, in an attractive location, with like minded guests, you should consider the Domes of Elounda.

My grown up daughters and I stayed at the Domes end August/beg Sept and had a very enjoyable and peaceful time. The staff are delightful - friendly and helpful without being too pushy, and our particular favourites were Maggie and Costadin in the restaurant, and Konstantina in Guest Relations by the beach - as well as all the buggie boys! However, everyone was lovely. The clientele was varied - couples, families and different nationalities, and it our timing meant it was a little quieter than most of July and August.

We chose to be half-board which is not something we usually do, but it worked well for us. Breakfast and dinner had plenty of buffet choice, and was varied every day. The dishes are replenished regularly which was just as well for me when I stood in line behind another guest who hoovered up all the sushi! Drinks in the different bars are expensive if you consider the local supermarket prices, eg a large bottle of water for 4 euros compared with 45 euro cents, but this is no different from many holiday locations and if you're on vacation do you really want to be trekking to and from the supermarket all the time?

Our suite was very pleasant and had both a small private pool and a balcony hot-tub, the former wasn't overlooked as some are and we enjoyed quiet mornings in the sun, reading by our pool. I would say though, that the living room sofa beds aren't really suitable for adults unless they're not very tall. The sea aspect view is gorgeous, and improves the higher up the suite.

The location is a short taxi ride to Elounda or a 15 minute walk to Plaka, and we definitely preferred the latter village. If you do visit Plaka, check out the Green Shop, which sells only green and blue items inc ceramics, jewellery and clothes. The harbour side tavernas are also worth visiting if you like fish. Of course, a visit to Spinalonga cannot be missed, either by speedboat from the hotel beach, or ferry from Plaka.

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up the hill - there are always plenty of buggies to get you there if you don't fancy the steps.

We came here with our extended family - my parents (in their 80s), my wife and 7 grandchildren aging 4-24. Everyone had a great time. Staff is super nice and the rooms are fantastic. Breakfast at the hotel is good but other than that there's no reason why you should eat there (we had a so so dinner) when there are so many good restaurants 7 minutes away. Don't miss a boat trip to the Island - it's a haunting place.

Room Tip: Do not miss a room with a view to the water...
