“Hard to find so here's some extra information”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

Driving through the village I could not find a bakery as is mentioned in the other articles here on trip advisor (I probably missed it somehow).
I asked for directions and they gave me a brochure that sent me out of the village, through a tunnel to a tavern at the left side of the road (can't miss it; about 4 km altogether).
At this tavern the path starts and goes down, you can choose and take the big trip (you go around for 18 km) or just walk the gorge (about 1 hour).

We decided to also walk back through the gorge or you can take the same road you drove upon which in my opinion is dangerous because of this tunnel.
The gorge is worth it, really nice!

“Lovely walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014 via mobile

We've found this route through tripadvisor and the helpful suggestions. We starter the route oppositie the bakery. Doubting a fee times about which road tot take but then came tot a fence which was the start of the gorge. It was a lovely walk, about 45 minutes with spectacular views. We stopped at the Taverna (you should see the owner's cobra!) and walked back along the road as we alsook wanted to see the church in the rocks. I didn't like walking along the road, especially the tunnel was sqary so I wouldn't advise this.

“Superb!”

Very good views, if you travel this way you must visit the Sofia cave which is after the Gorge (plenty of signs).

“That is easy to walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

This most scenic gorge is for everyone to see and experience.
There are two points of entry for the Topolia Gorge. The first in the middle of the village in front of the bakery. The second one Just pass the village at the bent of the main road. Leave your car there and just walk downhill, after one thousand meters you are practically in the gorge. The scenery is as wild as it can be. It runs for about five kilometres and exits at the village of Katsmatado. You can sit there and have something to drink revive yourself and return on foot to topolia, to get your car, following the main road. All this experience will take you about three hours, easy to be done even by people that are not much in this type of activities. The walk back to your car is just as spectacular but from two to three hundred meters above the first passing. The path thru the gorge is easy to walk there is a water tap to drink water if you need. Take a big breath start walking and enjoy it. NO SANDALS any other type of shoes are ok!!!.
