Stayed here,May 15th 2013 for 3 nights, dont think you will find a better hotel for your pennies. The staff are a credit to the hotel, very friendly and helpful, plus a free beer on arrival, what more could one want. The rooms are of a good standard, with free airconditioning and safe. There were a group of 6 stayed and not one complaint, roll on 2014,we will be back.PS Recomend a visit to the restaurant XANI

Room Tip: recomend room 404 good view, wisper quiet aircon, balcony noisey but worth it for the view

Came to Crete for the first time last month and stayed at this hotel. It is excellent value for money, friendly staff, great location, tea/coffee making facilities in room, towelling robe and slippers supplied for your use. For a budget hotel it was first class. Plan to go back

Room Tip: Hair dryer was not very powerful, take your own

There will be better hotels in Chania, but I don't believe that any will offer better value for money. The rooms are a good size, air-conditioned and clean. Staff are excellent. The breakfasts are good with loads of freshly-squeezed orange juice. The hotels position is unbeatable - 5 minutes from the central bus station and 5 minutes in the opposite direction to the tourist area and the harbour. This means that - although lacking in character (it's a modern building) - the nights are not broken by loud music from bars and the shouts of happy revellers!
I recommend this hotel very highly.

Booked the hotel for a party of 8 on a photographic field trip. Hotel situated in centre of Chania, close to all amenities and harbour. Good sized bedrooms with balcony, quiet due to double glazing and metal blinds. Comfortable beds - linen frequently changed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast.
Only downside was shower - in our room the head was cracked and spurted water everywhere, but the head was changed midweek. In other rooms the shower blasted out when turned on and flooded out past the shower cublicle and flooded the floor of the ensuite.
Overall, though, a very enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend this hotel to other people.

I stayed at this hotel from 11-15th April with my husband and was prepared to give it a very good rating. Unfortunately I mistakenly left a gold necklace in my room and called the hotel as soon as I could. I was told it wasn't found and no offer to check the room again. After an e-mail to them I was told that they are not responsible for items left in the room. I feel very let down.

Stayed at Hotel Arkadi for 1 night before flying home from Crete. Clean and well equiped room. Room was a good size and had a lovely view over to the sea. Free wifi in the room which worked well, along with fridge, kettle etc. Small reasonably priced mini bar in room. Breakfast was usual continental and included in price which was good. Was a 2 min walk from the bus station where you can travel to/from the airport for 2.30Euros or to Heraklion for 13.80Euros. Hotel situated very close to the harbour where the many restaurants can be enjoyed. Well priced hotel. Would use again

We stayed for 2 nights at this friendly elegant hotel which delivers on all its promises. The hotel is a great value for money considering the facilities it offers. Its location and proximity to the harbor and the local bus station made it one of the finest choices in our Crete trip. The staff at the reception were helpful and the breakfast was average. If you seek luxury kindly avoid.
