“Lovely spot, good seafood”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

The Eastern side of the harbour is where Greeks go to eat and play, shunning the schnitzel and mature fish you are likley to find in the Western bit (the rounder harbour with all the cafes). Many of them come here for simply and well prepared fried squid and small fish, grilled cuttlefish and octopus, etc. Worth trying a side dish of boiled greens (vlita) which go well with seafood. Service is generally good, always so after you have been there once or twice and Gianni (the owner, presumably) and his team get to know you. Good, competent, tasty, reasonably priced, and you sit right by the harbour. Idyllic, really.

“don't go there”
Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner for 5 people. Ordered mussels which came late and not tasty. Fried vegetables were over made in oil. don't go there. Service is ok but slow like in most of the restaurants in Crete.

“great seafood”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Recommended by our hotel as a seafood place that the locals use. Not as smart as some places but it is by the old harbour and therefore a bit quieter than the Venetian harbour. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch.

“If you want a great fish taverna..”
Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

This is certainly your classic Greek fish taverna, by the harbour with an excellent choice of fresh fish and frozen fruits of the sea (you can only get those fresh in October in Chania)!

Excellent service, full of locals (goes to show) and very good value for a fish taverna, which generally tend to be more expensive than your average restaurant.

If you appreciate a tender boiled octopus and scrumptious calamari, this is definitely the place to be!

A huge plate of watermelon and beautifully moist chocolate sponge, with scoops of vanilla and chocolate ice cream was offered complimentary after our meal!
