It is a beautiful little area with alot to do/see. There is a variety of food, drinks, and shopping. There also seemed to be boat tours that left from here. Excellent opportunity for some photos.

“No vacation with out a slow walt around the harbor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013

This harbour has a special charm, almost al buildings from first floor and up are true to their time. So you get the impression of how it were centuries ago. Tavernas are like all other places a bit more aggressive to get turist inside, the prices matches. BUT noone can take the charming atmophere away. If you have the opportunity be there in eveningtime. Very good cretan food it served in the connecting streets to a good price

“Little Venus on Crete”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

The old harbor in Chania is romantic, scenic and full of atmosphere. This is the longest Venetian coastline outside of Venus. Do get lost in all the small paved roads, eat at Tamam taverna and have a drink at any one of the many cafeterias along the waterfront

“Stroll, shop, eat, have a coffee or drink.... there is a bit for everybody!”

One of the most beautiful parts of Greece, the Old Venetian harbour in Chania, offers something for all tastes. Superb restaurants, cafés, bars, museums, expeditions, shopping and lots of picturesque opportunities! Summer tourist bliss!

“Beautiful Walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

The walk around the harbor was very nice. There are a couple of museums around as well as the mosque which was hosting an art show. There are a number of cafe's around the harbor as well. The day we walked around Chania was very hot so I definitely reccomend sunblock or a hat. I got a little too tan for my liking though it was my own fault since I put sunblock on before going out but did not think to bring along on the trip. There is virtually no shade. I reccomend looking into the water because you can see all sorts of fish on both sides.
