“Simple de or delicious food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

You would find interesting mix of cretan ingredients presented in style.
Meat balls with tomato sauce, beet root salad and risotto was my favorite. The owner chef operated restaurants are always more creativ. We loved that place and went two times for dinner. It is closed on sundays.

“Worst food during 3 months in Chania”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013

I tried this taverna on my last evening in Chania as it had been recommended by local friends as well as tripadvisor reviewers -- big mistake. The Syrian salad was not a salad but a hot vegetable dish smothered in tomato sauce. The saganaki was not a fried cheese appetizer like everywhere else but another bowl of hot mushy vegetables similar to the Syrian salad but topped with a few small pieces of melted feta and the same overpowering tomato sauce. The beef with eggplant puree was good only because of the eggplant puree as the beef and its sauce tasted old and warmed over. When there are so many excellent tavernas with distinctive, freshly prepared food to choose from, go elsewhere (e.g., Anna's just up the street).

“Tasty "modern" Cretan”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

We came here on our last night for a lovely meal outdoors. Everything was tasty: saganaki, courgette balls, veal, beet root salad, pork, meatballs. My favorites were the courgette balls and the beet root salad, which was shredded beets with garlic, pine nuts, goat cheese, and a balsamic glaze. One of the best preparations of beets I've had.

They gave us complimentary raki and panna cotta like dessert at the end. All in all we ate for less than 70 euros including 6 dishes and a bottle of red wine. Definitely recommend a low key meal here.

“Good food specially the first plates”

Tha food is good and the staff polite. The firsts and tha salads are very good but some of the main dishes are a bit hard to digest, and lack of the little something to make them really good

The food was superb, we had grilled Halloumi cheese and veal baked in the oven with eggplant, peppers and tomatoes - amazing! This restaurant has a nice outdoor seating on one on the charmy lil streets of Chania Old Town ;) highly recommend!
