We didn't actually go looking for this, but stumbled across it while looking into the courtyard of the Catholic Church.

It's an interesting exhibition of various things from Crete's past, worth sending 30 or 40 minutes at.

This is the place to get your museum replicas of your favorite ceramic goddesses and bird headed figures. There are also excellent embroideries and scale models of old British ships.

Not easy to find, but worth to visit. You can see living conditions and culture of cretans just for 2 euro per person.

Small, with tiny rooms evoking a long vanished era, this museum has been crafted with love - and you may well meet the lady whose inspiration has led to this delightful place. A treat - you can visit in about 20 - 30 minutes. Children find it fascinating. It's by the Catholic Church with the entrance in the lovely St. Francis courtyard. Near the main museum of antiquities.
