We stayed for just one night in April while touring about the island. Walk up price 60 euros for a double with breakfast, so considerably more than we payed in rural Crete, but reasonable for a place like this in Chania. The room was very spacious and gracious, with old dark wood furniture, and a small balcony onto the street (fairly quiet during the night - at this time of year anyway). En suite had a shower over the bath with a flappy curtain - not my favourite combination, but reasonably functional.
The manager was helpful with suggestions of where to go and where I might find particular items to take home.
Breakfast was very good too.

Small hotel. Good price. Easy walking to town but parking is tough and hard to find.
Call for directions. Great bistro directly across street.
Best shopping of all the places we visited in Greece.
About 15 minute walk to beach-pebbles but very clean water.

Four nights at the Palazzo in charming city of Chania. Irena and Anastasia were delightful hosts, and very helpful with directions and travel advice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

We stayed here Sept.2010 for 6 nights & occupied 2nd floor room 'Dimitra' which had street views on two sides. The room was spacious with a good outlook & the aircon worked well. The ensuite was a little dissappointing, particularly the shower. My wife and I are both slim but the shower cubicle was minimal size, whatever you do don't drop the soap, also water in the morning was only lukewarm at best. However the hosts are charming & the location could not be better, 1 minute walk to the Venetian port & 15 minutes to the nearest beach and plenty of restaurants nearby to suit all pockets including a small 'open all hours 50m down the street.

Breakfasts were OK but a little variation in the fruit on offer would be nice, fresh peaches & grapes every day became a bit 'samey' but all in all the location wins over every time. As to whether 80 euros per night is good value for money is open to debate but Chania itself is delightful and we will return to explore the island further but maybe not from this base.

My friends and I stayed here during a two-day visit to Chania. This place is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff are all very nice, helpful, and gave great restaurant and activity recommendations. This hotel is on a very charming, Venetian-style street filled with restaurants, shops and small markets. Also our room was on the street, we did not find it to noisy. We would definitly stay here again when we return to Chania on our next trip.
