I live in Chania, so I visit Skoufos & Oinos quite often. I have been there with my wife for romantic dinner, with friends, with colleagues from work both from Greece and abroad, and we all agree that every time it was near perfect.
The food is fresh, cooked in front of you in an open kitchen and the menu constantly evolves. It is more on the gourmet side and not traditional cretan food. Moreover, there is a good wine selection and the staff provides good suggestions on the wine. The only downside is the location; the restaurant is facing a busy old-town street and the view is blocked by a wall. Finally, the prices are quite reasonable for what the restaurant offers.
Overall it is one of the best restaurants in Chania that manages to keep really high standards for a long time.
1) Order the risotto, it's fantastic
2) Book a table in advance, especially for the weekends
