Me and my partner went here twice during our stay in Chania and really enjoyed the experience. Nice setting down a side street with outdoor seating, live greek music playing and excellent food cooked in traditional clay pots. Food was better than anywhere else we tried in the old town.

Thank you. Yes, we are the only restaurant in the old port that cooks in the traditional way, on a wood burning stove and using ceramic pots

We stumbled across Xani trying to escape the hassle of the main harbour. We ducked up a side street and the lady outside spoke to us - not as a sales person like everyone else in Chania! We decided to come back and try the restaurant the next night and were so glad we did. Dimitri the owner is a character, the food is really outstanding, and there is greek music played by a couple of musicians each night. The local wine was great too! This really is a little gem, tucked away in a lovely courtyard away from the hustle and bustle - go for a drink on the main harbour, and then eat here if you are in Chania - you'll be glad you did!

Greeted by lovely, friendly lady in the street who talked us through everything hassle free. Enjoyed a brilliant meal served by friendly, helpful staff. Believe it or not I felt like complaining as the bill was so cheap ... A place certainly not to miss
