“It Could Be Even Better”
Reviewed July 9, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

My wife and I stayed at the 'newly renovated Ottoman' house for two weeks.

It's a lovely house situated very close to the harbour of Chania, yet in a, usually, very quiet position.

On arrival there was a lovely bowl full of oranges for us.

The layout is fine other than the position and size of the bathroom.

In essence there a decent kitchen and entrance area on the ground floor, a relaxing area on the first floor with a comfortable sofa and chairs plus a TV. And on the top floor a bedroom with a very comfortable double bed and a small balcony which was lovely to sit out on.

All really nice.

But the house is let down by the bathroom and in particular the shower which had so little pressure that if the washing machine was working, the shower didn't.

In a house with so much charm one would have expected a decent shower.

To sum up this was a lovely house in a great location but not for up to six people and not for those who like a decent shower.

Would you recommend this hotel to a friend?   Yes.

Management Response

Graham, thanks for your feedback. Water pressure is sometimes a problem in the old Venetian town of Chania. Nevertheless, we have called the plumber for installing a new showerhead that for sure will alleviate this minor problem for our next guests.
