…we didn't, so we left, as soon as we could. The villas are on the side of the hill above the junction of two busy roads (one up a hill), so there is the constant noise of engines revving, tyres screeching and/or horns blowing. Not the most relaxing place to spend a holiday.
The villas are quite nice but I wouldn’t call them luxurious. There are lots of gadgets: satellite TV, DVD player, Jacuzzis, electronic juicer. However, they lack the basics, such as a decent knife (we had to use a pen-knife), a bread knife, a pepper mill (they bought us pepper corns and we had to use two spoons to crush them). Whenever I have stayed in a villa in the past the people before have left things such as dishwasher tablets, cling-film etc, whatever runs out we replace and leave what is left for the next people….not here.
On the surface the finish of the villas, seems good but then you notice the details: lots of electric wires sticking out of walls, the bathroom door that does not shut, the appalling quality of tiling in the bathrooms.
The one good thing about the place is the friendly staff on site.
We moved to the Elounda Gulf Villas, which are soooooo much better, in every way.
