“Great little hotel in Delphi”
Reviewed September 26, 2009

This is a great little hotel in Delphi GR. It is clean and the owner is extremely helpful and the price is among the cheapest in Greece. They do not have an elevator but the owner carried our bags to the second floor. It is on one of their two main streets and right in the heart of the town. They do not offer breakfst but at the cheap price you can still save by eating elsewhere. A really nice place to stay.

This hotel was one of the cheapest places we stayed in (36 euro/night) and it was STUNNING! Yannis insisted on taking our bags to our room which had a balcony with fantastic views of the mountains. He also sourced some ice for our drinks we were having on our balcony, and made us generally feel very special. Delphi in itself is a place not to be missed and a great relief from Athens - we only wish we'd arrived earlier to make the most of this gorgeous place!

We paid 36€ for a double which is incredible. This hotel was a great value. It’s right on the main street of the village of Delphi, 10 minute walk to the archaeological site and the view out our window (we were on the back side) was lovely – mountains and the Bay of Itea. Room was very good size and clean, tiny balcony. This was our only hotel in Greece without AC and that worried me, but turns out it wasn’t needed at all. I guess it cools off at night up there in the mountains cause it was fine.

This hotel was by far the best value we came across on a 2 month tour through western and southern europe. We went in late July and while spending midday outside was unbearably hot, the room was just fine with the overhead fan going. Getting a view like the one on the backside of the hotel was incredible for the price!

I think the reason this place is so cheap is that the rooms don't have AC. We were there in the middle of summer and it wasn't a problem because the rooms have excellent ceiling fans & get a good breeze up the valley. The rooms were clean with private bathroom, tv, balcony with views. We paid a few euros more for a room with a view - well worth it.

The hotel is in the middle of town and an easy walk to the bus stop. The owner was very welcoming and was quick to respond to emails.

Very basic rooms yet clean and they offer a magnificent view as far as the eye can see. The owner was very helpful and friendly. A quaint little hotel.
When you are paying these kind of prices you really should not expect breakfast to be included. Delphi itself is full of a wonderful variety of restaurants to satisfy all tastes.

Usually the reviews on TripAdvisor are right but not this time. The hotel is centrally located with a good view of the valley but so are most of the hotels in Delphi. The rooms are located on the second floor without an evevator nor assistance from the hotel with luggage. The rooms are spartan without Air Conditioning which is a necessity in the summer in Greece. The bathrooms are small with a small shower stall--a large person would have trouble. The front desk person is rather indifferent. The rate does not include breakfast which makes the price seem attactive but an inexpesive breakfast in town will cost about 10 euros per person...you are better off spending more money to stay in a nicer air conditioned hotel.
