“Very nice hotel in a beautiful town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2014

The hotel had an older feel, but I was surprised to find out it is only 15 years old. The rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious and, on one side of the hotel, have the most spectacular views over both the town and the coast. The lounge area in the lobby is spacious and well laid out with a nice bar. However, the dining room is quite small and there was some shuffling required to fit everyone in...but the breakfast was quite good.
The beds were quite hard and some of our group said that they had trouble sleeping, even though the rooms were lovely and quiet. The bathrooms are OK, but nothing special.
There is nothing wrong with the hotel, however the overall feel is just short of perfection. A very nice stay.

Room Tip: Make sure you get the side with the views.

This is a wonderful hotel. The room was on the small side, but had a view that was absolutely beautiful. The mountains were green and lush. Delphi was spread out in front of you. The water was gorgeous to behold. The bathroom had 3 pieces and was on the small side. The beds were singles, not doubles. The breakfast buffet was sparse, yet had tons of fresh fruit. This hotel is on my 'Stay Again' list because of its tranquil setting and fantastic views!!!

We stayed at this hotel as part of a four day classical tour. The room was clean and well-appointed, but the bathroom was pretty small. The beds were comfortable. I was too tired to look but I understand that you can have a nice view from the window. Dinner was included as part of the package and it was okay - a set menu that was bland compared to other meals we enjoyed in Greece. Also the waiter brought us an opened bottle of water that was obviously tap water and charged us for bottled water. Breakfast was also just okay.

If we had not paid for an upgrade to first class on the tour, I might have been happy with this hotel as a budget hotel. Also, I would have expected to have the wi-fi included rather than paying EU1 per hour for it.

I stayed here in mid September. The hotel decided that because it was 22C outside, they turned the air conditioning off late in the evening. The room was SWELTERING. When other members of my party, complained, they just stated that it was 22C outside. The toilet bowl was stained. I had cockroaches in my room. There were no powerpoints to use to recharge my phone or camera, so I had to unplug one of the lamps. There was no free wifi. The view was lovely...if you were on a higher floor. On the lower floors, the magnificient view is blocked by overgrown trees which could easily be trimmed. The mattress was harder than a block of granite. There is no pool. I would NOT stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the upper floors to get access to the magnificent view.

Our stay was fine. The staff were nice, and the views were pretty, apart from the air conditioning unit on the lawn which spoiled ours a little. WIFI was included for us, but only worked in the lobby. The rooms could probably use refurbishment.

Like many other reviewers we had high hopes for a great stay at this hotel judgiformula a well presented classic exterior. We were booked into the hotel by the operators of our 5 day classical Greece tour and we paid for an upgrade to a superior hotel.

On checking in, our receptionist was surly and dismissive and was obviously waiting for us to check in to our rooms so she could get "busy" making cocktails for our guide in whom she clearly had a personal interest.

Everyone but us in our group got a room overlooking the valley, which is a must-have in that location, but The Guide got the last one, based on some lame excuse that we needed a triple room and they had no spare beds they could add to the one we would have liked.

So instead we were given a double room with a makeshift spare bed (I thought they had run out?) overlooking the car parl. Nice car park but .... Really?

We went back to reception to ask for a room overlooking the valley but even though the receptionist initially responded to us in English, she then reverted back to Greek where she and The Guide had a lovely discussion no doubt about how unreasonable we were being.

There was no hot water when I tried to take a shower. HINT: run the hot tap before you undress in this hotel. To add insult to injury, when I rang them to say there was no hot water, they told me I was wrong, and that there was hot water. Well, if you say so!

I see another reviewer commented that the staff live in a state of denial and so their complaints department is probably their best performing, because apparently no none ever makes a valid complaint that need investigation.

At dinner in the windowless basement the menu was below average. My wife told the tour that she was a vegetarian but no alternative choice was provided. The staff at the dining room DO stare at you. Creepy!

You pay extra for wifi (our economy class traveling companions just down the road had free wifi and a pool no less!) and so this place just doesn't cut it.

Our theory is that the reception is the owner, or the owner's daughter, or is the lady friend of the owner. The hotel is immune to criticism judging by the other reviews on this forum.

I guess they rely upon the revolving door principle - just keep 'em coming and if they don't ever come back, don't worry as they've already got your money and there is another busload arriving tomorrow.

Rooms are too small, service is lousy, that receptionist needs a personality makeover and should consider extending some of the hospitality afforded to our guide to the paying guests. The hotel's only redeeming feature is its proximity to the sanctuary, which is definitely a highlight of the tour.

Room Tip: Avoid. Try somewhere else just down the road, one with a pool and staff who have passed Tourism 101.

This was the best hotel in our entire 5 week holiday. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean & spacious rooms, excellent value for money. Highly recommend staying here. The village is small & friendly with lots of places to shop & eat but the food at the hotel was excellent too.
